I've played several matches, I guess it's fine? The base gameplay is really fun especially when you have skilled Pac-Man players here. If you've got your original arcade Pac-Man skills, they'll work here beautifully and you can crush your opponents with them. It gets really frantic and tense especially if you've got friends playing!

Despite the fun gameplay, there are a few big turn-offs for me. One, the game is extremely GPU demanding on PC and it caused my GPU to emit motor sounds which kind of shook me. While I do like the changes they did to the Stadia game, the game feels even less polished than the Stadia original since the new UI feels less polished and flashy compared to the original. Also doesn't help that the extreme input delay from the original is still present! And finally, by at least two hours in the game you'll have essentially experienced everything aside from unlocks. I still strongly stand by my point that this game should've been free to play. Putting a price on a battle royale game in the year 2024 is essentially asking for a death sentence. This game is overpriced for what it's worth right now ($20!!! Pac-Man Museum+ is at the same price as this and it has better value), and the fact that there's already skins that you can only get by paying for DLC doesn't really help it's case.
If you do intend to try it out though, I'd recommend waiting for the eventual discount within the months coming. Bamco's monetization practices continue to baffle me honestly.
