This game was like candy for the ears and eyes. The UI and presentation was both juicy and crunchy, like a perfectly ripe apple, freshly washed and cooled. I do kind of feel like the character portraits, while full of personality, could've used a few more passes or touch ups, as they don't fit in very well with the aesthetic of the rest of the game (which makes heavy use of real-life imagery and flat black and white boxes), but they also don't live up to their own style. I also feel like the 'to be continued' screen was cool upon the first few times it was used, but after a while, began to get on my nerves as it's much longer than it really needs to be and can't be clicked through, unlike other screens.

The game all things considered is nothing to write home about but it opens up the steam store page challenging you to leave a negative review and that was actually brilliant.

"its common courtesy to conduct arms deals in a random place in the middle of the desert, like in all the dramas" 20B is a META visual novel, with emphasis on meta. It really is just a lightning paced series of gags which I can see some finding annoying, but I got caught off guard by several lines, so it succeeded in that respect. Hell, even the usually tiresome meta gags these games usually pull I found pretty funny and charming.

The presentation is great, sound effects, old timey movie reels, pixelated backgrounds and anime-esque portraits bring the appropriate vibe very well. Its 40 mins long and FREE so if you have a tolerance for "funn1 and randem" style humour I'd give it a spin

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, works fine (10/12/2022). You'll need to use the touch screen for the menus. B button works to advance text ingame.

Short metafiction visual novel with enjoyable enough story. There's a Spanish word that perfectly describes its humour and it's "mamarracho".

Everyone should give it a try since it's free and takes an hour at most to complete.
