The downhill ski course and slalom work decently well, but the ski jump just doesn't translate at all due to the perspective. I like the background polka music and thought it was a nice touch that the slalom flags fall over if you clip them.

Fuck, I already made the personifying skiing joke for Slalom. Now I actually have to review this game. Uh… you certainly do ski… and you fall down a lot… the music and graphics are nice… and it was kinda fun…………….. if there will ever be a dislike button on this website, I will need all of you to hit that button on this review specifically.

Game #295

It sure is what it says on the tin. Despite the vertically oriented monitor, obstacles zoom at you with incredible speed that require really fast reflexes to avoid if you ever use the speed up button. The screen scroll point for the left and right are also really far out so theres a lot of horizontal screen crunch which isn't the best. It leads to a whole lot of crashing into things and while I definitely expected said constant crashing to make this game unplayably frustrating, the whole choice to make the whole game time based rather than life based really makes things feel light and comfortable regardless. There's still a fair bit to master here as well in terms of scoring and being fast so really it could be enjoyed by both high and low level players. It's just a quaint little skiing game from the early 80's.

Não acredito que a Taito usou uma máquina do tempo para olhar o futuro e copiar Skifree. Sacanagem, caras, sacanagem.

Fun, little inoffensive skiing simulator of sorts, although the controls are fucky.
