Assault Gunners HD Edition

released on Mar 20, 2018

A remaster of Assault Gunners

"ASSAULT GUNNERS HD EDITION puts you in control of the Peace Keeping Force known as DAT and along with your three allied Battle Mechs, you must attempt to save Earth’s Migrants and the Mars Colonies as a whole from the threat of the ANTS uprising. Who or what could be leading this threat against Mars, and the new planned perfect utopia for humanity? With 35 full-length battle-heavy missions, a horde gameplay mode known as “Inferno Mode” covering 5 varied maps and over 100 mech-customisation possibilities for yourself and your allies, there’s plenty of replayability and content present in the standalone version of ASSAULT GUNNERS HD EDITION."

B for Brainless essentially. Consider it more of a low budget mecha toy box, an arena shooter in the style of armored core but the enemy count of dynasty warriors.

You have alot of customization, a barely presented story that is about half the time translated and levels that last from 1 to 5 minutes.
Missions are fairly repetitive and several locations get recycled and the game gets outright cheap, but on the other hand if you know the right tool you can completely cheese all of the boss fights.
That beeing said it did kept me quite amused. With its short length containing 50 missions if you count DLC, its just the kind right kind of cheap junk food i crave from middle market releases.
And if you are short for change for Armored Core, 12 bucks for about 10-15 hours for the game + DLC is a pretty good deal.
