Bomberman B-Daman

released on Dec 20, 1996

This game features puzzles that must be solved by shooting marbles. Bomberman can hold a marble in his stomach and can only fire one shot during the round. The player must angle it and time it correctly to detonate all of the bombs on screen. There are 10 levels and each have 10 stages. Before each round, a preview will display the stage to show the player what to expect. If the player fails a stage twice then they will advance to the next stage. There are also modes to let the player edit the colors of the Bomber characters and even create their own stage...

This is the oddest Bomberman game, apparently, this game came from a toyline based on characters with Bomberman designs that could launch marbles from their torso. Not really what I was expecting out of Bomberman.

But in all honestly for a tie-in video game to sell more toys it's pretty damn fun, it's a fairly arcady game where you can only go from left to right and you only have one shot to break all of the moving targets which are bombs in this game, so hit a bomb and try to get that explosion combo and win.
This game comes with 100 stages which get played by a row of 10s, the goal is to break them all to get the 100 perfect scores and the total of points gets added to see who wins kinda like bowling.
I would've liked the game to be more like a challenge list where I can just individually play all stage until I get the 100 scores instead of switching to the next one when I lose.

This game comes with a bunch of side things with multiplayer, stage editors, and a bunch of things in Japanese that I can't read or care about.
It's a decent and original Super Nintendo with a really strange origin story but it's worth playing if you like stupid obscure games.
