An interesting Contra-lite, though while the graphics are fairly good it feels like it's missing out by not including a more complete move set (shooting up/down) compared to the old classics.

Thinner gameplay than the average NES cart, Clash Force feels more like a demo than a commercial product. Half baked and unfinished, what's here isn't bad, but there's so little that it's hardly worth considering. Play something else.

This ended up being way more frustrating than i'd hoped. It's megaman without the charm or well thought out level design.

An alright throwback platformer. Really simple and starts off alright but gets pretty unfair near the end. Pretty short and alright.

In more detail, level two is way harder than level three, especially with some cheap deaths on 2-1 for starting you off on a set of moving platforms with no warning. The desert boss was the hardest boss in the game, much harder than the final boss or escape boss. Missile ride is by far the worst stage, gimping your jump with enemies flying into you before you can react and lasers that are also impossible to react to. Other than those it's decent and the mechanics generally work fine but the bad aspects of it weighs it down a lot.

A neat throwback title that can be quick and fun at first but the game stops allowing you to have fun halfway through, doesn't have any checkpoints for some reason, and I highly doubt Missile Ride was ever playtested by a human being given how incredibly unfair it is.

I also wish the animals actually took advantage of them being animals and didn't have godawful art.
