It's a stand alone DLC with 8 new missions.
It continues to be Commandos, with the addition of some mechanics (and some dumb changes).
Every character can throw stones or a pack of cigarettes to distract enemies. A non-lethal approach is also possible. Surrendered enemies can be controlled for a while, as long as they are in your character's sights, if not the alarm sounds, this is necessary in a mission to kidnap a general and another in which you need to coerce an airplane pilot to escape.
Overall I found it disappointing.
Most of the keyboard shortcuts changed, with no remapping option, and the voices of the controllable soldiers too. I even looked for a mod to replace it (but in the end I put up with it).
The worst mission was the first, the sniper starts with 6 bullets, all of which I used. But after destroying all the targets and killing all the soldiers, one more bullet was needed to destroy a water mine for the boat to pass. This could be warned before the mission, or if your entire mission was made for 5 bullets, just give me 5 damn bullets.
The new character was also disappointing. She was only controllable at the very end of the last level, and the only ability is distraction that I used on a single enemy.
Game offers two difficulty options. Easy and Hard. Which in practice is "Very Hard" and "Go Fuck Yourself".

I still recommend it to those who really liked the first game and want new challenges.
