A remake of Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams
Suddenly one day, the waves of darkness messed up the prism of light and began to inhale the light of the world. Then the night went on, the morning light was lost, and people were living anxious lives in the dark. On the other hand, the gluttonous wizard Cotton, who is completely indifferent to such things, does not know the request from Fairy Silk. However, when I heard that I could get my favorite Willow when I got rid of the monsters, it was so glittering! Anyway, the journey to explore Cotton Willow begins.

It's a very solid shoot 'em up (or also known as cute em up) that is more on the easier side. Doesn't really do anything special for a shmup, but has a great soundtrack and some really good visuals.
Cotton Reboot made it’s way to my heart, the cute premise along with the interesting magic management is a lot of fun test your preferences in a Shmup. I feel like this is one of the better introductory ones out in the west. Will return to hone my skills and improve on my score.

The core of the game revolves around shooting crystals that split your beam into a green energy beam that charges your jewel meter, and you can get insane score through multipliers once your meter is fully charged. If you die, the meter resets to the original multiplier and you need to build it up again. It's really fun if you want to aim for scoring. Powerups are easily abused if you're just going for survival, especially the blue shield powerup, so I don't recommend that. I had a much better time when I aimed for score.
Very fun game, had to give it a higher score than the original because I liked the unlockable characters that you get. Gave me a reason to beat the game 2 more times this morning. Great game and one I will definitely re-visit every now and then for a quick playthrough.
