The epic story has been split up in three parts, one for each character. The game mimics the film's famous martial arts, based on the Wudan fighting style, with a set of basic attacks, attack combos and special moves, combined with defensive actions such as basic blocking, combo blocking and evasion. While fighting, the characters learn new moves, collect items and earn rewards. Skills are improved according to your fighting style. Using specific attacks (e.g. unarmed) boosts the related skills, which can be leveled up.

Another absolutely fascinating movie tie-in game that I was shocked to learn exists.

I absolutely adore the film it's based on and was very interested in how it would translate to game form. And the result is mixed.

The controls and camera are all out of wack from what I am used to and sometimes the combat can get tiresome, but once I nailed the rhythm of the game, I found myself relatively enjoying the experience despite its faults.

I swear this game was literally 1 level where you fight 2 dudes outside in a dark asf room, and then nothing happens because you can't progress forward, this game was boring as shit even as a kid.
It was also so hard for no damn reason, if you want your game to be played and experienced by a lot of people, try not to make the difficulty so hard to where you can't find where the hell you're supposed to go and you have to fight enemies that can probably kill you easily and then completely destroy any sort of care in order to actually complete this damn game. That's not the say that the game needs to be easy, but difficulty is important in terms of making a game fun, this game just wasn't.
