I had to shelve this one for now. Where Golden Souls 1 had short, sweet levels the ones on offer in Golden Souls 2 are much longer and more complicated. This is starting to shy away from the classic DOOM feel that I loved in GS1, where it felt like a mod of the original game. This feels like something completely different. And it isn't a bad thing in spots, but it's just not what I was looking for after coming from GS1.

An undeniably impressive improvement on the original Golden Souls. It isn't just Doom with a Mario coat of paint this time. Here each level feels like a true fusion of shooter and platform design ideology. Larger levels with more hazards, more open design, and an increased jump height mean you will be actively platforming while gunning down demons. And, man, it would be easy to fuck up first person platforming, but the here it is just so satisfying to jump over a platform while firing down upon the hordes of enemies below you.

A great game. A must play Doom mod. And I can't wait to see what comes next from the creator.

So much more content in this game than I expected going in... it would be an easy 5 stars if the jumping wasn't so scuffed.

Gracias a los tres usuarios que ponían los timestops de las monedas grandes en los videos.

Son los verdaderos héroes de este mod

Tiene un nivel malo -1 para el mod.
-100 para Doom 2

This game is one of the most amazing Doom mods out there. Inspired by SNES games like Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Ganbare Goemon and tons of others, this mod has some of the best map design in doom modding history.
