It doesnt have a lot of the Hot Shots/everybody's golf charm in how its fairly realistic with some silliness baked in at the amounts i would have hoped but it is one of the most solid golf VR games ive personally played.

The PSVR's wonky tracking makes it kind of a wobbly and uneven experience and holding the ps move controller only works effectively one handed. It is nice that its practice system lets you see a bit of info on how your ball will go upon your strike, but it would be preferable for it to be a bit more arcadey in its presentation, like in the mini map where it approximates your landing based on your general aim if it were to instead base and update it on your practice swings.

All of its limitations aside the tools it give you are sufficient and it feels great when you go from 5,6,7 over to 1 under par. The caddy can feel a little humiliating when she pats your back after a bad shot, but extremely rewarding when you pull off a good one.

It looks decent with no performance issues on a ps5. Not much to say here. The human NPCs(caddy and attendant) are a little uncanny valley. Id prefer if they did the pseudo blobby humans from the standard EG.

If there is music, it's totally forgettable. I just pop spotify on when running courses.

One other detail that was fun were these little caddy interactions, like her teasing you about some candy or walking over a precarious pit. They dont land for me really, but the idea of them is enough for me to enjoy them.

Definitely pick it up if you enjoy the idea of golf or like golf games especially, but it's not really made for everybody despite its name.

I'm not a golfer but this was if nothing else a decent little game and a fine enough pack-in for the VR.

It's pretty okay for a VR game. However, it really is just golf and the golf doesn't feel all that great to play typically, especially with tracking issues. While it's not terrible, it just leaves much to be desired.

Everybody’s Golf VR should of been the premium golf experience in VR but ends up suffering from a lack of courses and features. The act of playing Everybody’s Golf is extremely fun and intuitive. When you are out on the course the sense of scale is fantastic and the way it controls makes it feel as close to golf as you are going to get in your living room. The game looks nice enough even with the PSVR limitations although the lack of NPC’s apart from your caddy gives it an eerie quietness. The problem is there just simply isn’t enough to do. The game has 3 courses and a driving range, to unlock later courses you will find yourself playing the same 9 holes over and over again which unfortunately has become a staple for the series. Everybody’s Golf VR is a great transition for the series but ends up feeling a bit lacking once the novelty of VR has worn off.

Some of the games vignettes get into weird fetish territory and it is weirdly offputting for an otherwise decent golfing game. A huge caddy fell on me because I shrunk. I just assume that's what happens in golf I guess.
