Its an okay farming simulator as a whole but in this post stardew valley era it felt empty and boring over all.

To quote a butchered version of Kamen Rider Kuuga's opening.

"FEAR, PAIN."

How do I even explain the experience of HM: Light of Hope?

Imagine a beloved childhood pet, long dead, and some necromancer put the corpse on a puppet-stick and attempted to pantomime normal behavior in a shallow, fruitless attempt at winning your favor. It stinks and it's collecting flies. It's terrible and upsetting to look upon.

The basic notes are there. There's a harvest goddess and some sprites. You're get an abandoned farm to clean up, the usual. But it's a heartless and hideous imitation of a real game, lacking any soul or any attempt at effort. Even for a port of mobile game, it looks terrible! There's good mobile games! And for the switch, this is extra rank.

Play Stardew Valley, play any of the Story of Seasons games, play Rune Factory, even play some Kairosoft Sims on your phone. But never, ever play HM: Light of Hope. There is no hope here.
