Midtown Madness 3

released on Jun 17, 2003

Midtown Madness 3 is an open world racing/arcade sequel, part of the Midtown Madness series. For the first time in the series, the game was released only on the Xbox, with a Windows version rumoured for later release, but ultimately scrapped.[citation needed] The game was developed by DICE (of Battlefield 1942 fame) and published by Microsoft Game Studios. This marked a change from the developer of the first two games, Angel Studios (now Rockstar San Diego). Coincidentally, Midtown Madness 3 was released in 2003 against Midnight Club II, created by the developer of the first two games, Rockstar San Diego. The Xbox-only release and change of developer heralded a significant graphical improvement to maintain the console's graphical standards.

Just fun tearing up Paris with a Mini Cooper

one of the most underrated xbox exclusive titles that deserved a lot more love. comparing to the first two entries midtown madness 3 allows you to explore the world in much more depth. the fact that a big part of the explore was discovering the landmarks made me think this is the spiritual predecessor to the forza horizon franchise, and this 20 year old game is somehow more fun and alive than the most recent FH5

It is very funny that they have the god awful mobile Java version on the same entry as the excellent Xbox original.

The first ever racing game I played! Love the craziness and how wild the races can be!

This is one of those games I give the "Doom 3 effect". Like it's good, but is it really what the series originally was? It definitely captures it, but it feels so different. Obviously way more polished and all since MM2 was starting to look a bit dated by 2003.
The real highlight, imo, is how it actually has more of a story mode to it. One for each city. It's a lot more narrated and over the top weird. Still, not bad. Shame it had to Xbox only since modding is what made MM1 and 2 so great imo.

One of the best exclusive Xbox games in history.
