Mighty Goose was a lot of fun. It only took me a day to beat, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's fast paced, and levels are designed in a way that makes them really satisfying to speed through once you've gotten a hang of the game's basics. The art is really nice looking, and character designs are all really fun. Being a goose in a mech suit is just as great as it sounds. I just wish that the new game plus had a bit more to offer. The screen can already get kind of cluttered in the base game with everything that's going on, but in new game plus, it's just too much. There are too many enemies on screen in new game plus. It doesn't seem like the levels were designed to have that many enemies in them at once, so it leads to the new game plus not being as fun to get through as the main story was. The game was still great though, it was really great to play all the way through something in one day.

A fun metal slug clone at its core, with some issues that bring it down a bit.
It's visually vibrant, with great pixel art and a good score. The gameplay is fine, but the screen can get very cluttered very quickly in a lot of levels, from enemies, your own bullets, and tons of unnecessary particle effects. Vehicles also make the game pretty trivial during certain points. I enjoyed my time, but it could have been better.

Great homage to Metal Slug, but not as charming.
