It will take quick thinking and sharp reflexes to get the job done. Can you handle the challenge? Mr Driller is a real-time puzzle game that relies solely on quick-thinking and a bit of planning. Gameplay is a combination of Tetris and Boulder Dash: You have to drill down through multi-colored blocks to reach the bottom while avoiding the consequences of reckless drilling (blocks may fall on you and crush you).

It's Mr. Driller! And that's about it. The PSX version is one of the best, but this arcade puzzler is actually more suitable as a quick portable game, rather than as a home console experience. So, whether you're loading an Eboot on your PSP, or some other such device, it's always a fun time that's worth atleast a brief visit.

What if Dig Dug was a puzzle game, essentially.

Remember when Namco ported Mr. Driller to every single videogame system in existence? The Wonderswan was no exception, friends. And, exactly, how many of those ten thousand ports were released in North America? One, I think? Yeah, thanks a fucking ton Namco.

So you’re a driller. You drill through these colored blobs and go further down, and downward is the goal, see. Leave a blob hanging, and it will eventually fall, only to be caught by a blob of the same color. Does that make sense? No? Sorry.

Mr.Driller ain't going to blow your socks away but it is good for what it is just a simple puzzle game. soundtrack has some bops, the gameplay was pretty addicting when your on a streak dodging death, and the ps5's rewind feature is amazing for this type of game but the lack of variety kinda hurts it Just drill endlessly. Overall a very enjoyable game but not one you keep going back too after you beat the arcade mode.
