the most intense nancy game for SUREEEEE

Not bad, but not my favorite. Not interested by almost any of the puzzles, nor do I care much for the atmosphere. Does not light my fire.

Never felt like I've had so much conversation in my life whilst learning so little about someone.

this one is honestly so much fun! i love the nancy drew games, honestly.

this is where it starts getting good. the atmosphere is incredible and i absolutely love how much detail they put into the history of the theater and its owner.

Fake, one of my childhood movie theaters got demolished and no one came to protest it :(((

This is the first one in the series so far where the navigation feels polished (it was still a bit hard to find some nooks and crevices, but it was a big breath of relief after the last 4.)

It's also the first one where the mystery has stakes that feel URGENT. (I think the only other game in the series with a kidnapping as the mystery is Ransom of the Seven Ships, and yeah idk it's hard to feel like things are suuuper urgent when you're playing games against monkeys and all that.) When you mix that in with the slightly liminal but still gorgeous atmosphere, where you can practically SMELL the musty carpet and dusty curtains, the old machinery and the stale popcorn.... it's just such an unmatched vibe.

The biggest thing that's hard to believe is that they were seriously gonna knock the place down and nobody wanted that jazz game machine.

Also I respect Nick's cause and he's kinda a hottie but he's really frickin annoying. Some men are written by a woman, this man was written by Jonathan Larson or sth. "Generica." Shut up!!!
