Good mindless fun. Get this game dirt cheap since it’s super repetetive, although most of the characters play differently enough to break up the monotony.

I don't have a lot of experience with Warriors games, but I thouroughly enjoyed this , every one-piece fan should give it a chance.
If you know Warriors games, you know what to expect, but let me tell you that when you whip up a couple dozen mobs into a combo and then juggle them a bit in the air, you truly start to realize how well the one piece license lends itself to the gameplay! Futhermore this game is just well paced, the story-part is divided, where one arc is basically 1 max 2 missions long, so no arc overstays its welcome. Additionally there is also a mode with remixed non canon battles. Whenever you get bored with one character, you switch to another one. All characters-combos work in similar way. However the special skills make the characters have small mechanics unique to certain characters, this helps a lot in keeping the gameplay fresh, and motivates you into wanting to unlock and try out all the different characters. I could have played this for quite some time longer!

It's overall pretty fun to go through the story. The music is great. It's enjoyable to run through the one piece story line up til the point the game came out. I love how different each character plays, makes it feel like there's more depth to the game.
Sadly there really isn't much to it. There's distractions everywhere encouraging you to earn tokens elongating your time with the game and spending less time on the fun stuff. The main story is great to run through and the dream log is fine, but once you clear all of that there's so much the game leaves for you to do. Normally this would be great but ultimately you end up repeating the same gameplay loop over and over to an extreme degree and the rewards aren't really anything- basically more stats for your characters you can go and get more stats. I got sucked into this and had to pull myself out- I could definitely play this until it burns me out and enjoy it but it started feeling like a ridiculous time sink.
Probably won't pick up 4 but might be interested in 5 whenever that happens. Despite the frustrations with the progression it's really a decent time until you hit the endless grind.
