Outriders

Outriders is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet. With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and desert in the pursuit of a mysterious signal. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers and an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, Outriders offers countless hours of gameplay.

A friend and I tried to get into this game twice. We actually enjoyed it for an hour or two, but both times we just stopped playing eventually. I tried in single player once again a few months later, but also just dropped it. Which is always a bad sign. Outsiders is best described as Gears of War x Destiny without any of the qualities both franchises it draws inspiration from. People Can Fly’s product feels like a generic, more floaty copy of Gears of Wars gameplay with an uninspired take on Destiny’s loot- and class system. While the graphics are quite good, but hampered by technical issues like stutters and pretty high system requirements, the art-style and the whole presentation of the game is comically bad. I am not sure if this game wants to be taken seriously or if it’s just a play on the “dudebro”-shooter genre. But it didn’t work on any level for me.

A historia é boa, e o jogo também é bom, acho que o que pega é essa tentativa de "grind" no endgame que não é muito motivadora... Mas é um bom jogo pra zerar com um amigo ou com amigos.

The story is good, and the game is also good, I think what sticks is this attempt to "grind" in the endgame, which isn't very motivating... But it's a good game to beat with a friend or with friends.

Bullet hell with the weapon-mania farming inside

Bullet hitting simulator. Forcefully finished and will not be touched again.

Fun co-op looter shooter, really has this 360 era vibe to it, which I actually enjoyed. There's not much to say about this one to be honest, it tries to be a 3rd person Destiny, but also just a regular co-op linear shooter. The complete edition tends to be on sale often, so it's worth trying.

I know many disagree with this, but I liked that there wasn't any grinding required to progress through the main campaign. While some might not like this "end game", I think it fits this game fairly well. Any longer and it would be dropped, since the gameplay loop isn't engaging enough to sink tons of hours into.

Felt like a mediocre 2012 game in the year 2021
