The true ending was so good

This review contains spoilers

The game has its good points but there is a bug that can prevent you from platinuming the game and not getting the last ending which really sours what already is a rocky story at its best. Also it claims to tie in with the other Psychedelica game but it does so very poorly. What a shock, the sequel is actually a prequel to some characters and a sequel to others? Whatever

Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk, how to describe this? It's marketed as an otome game and while it does have otome elements, it's way more story-driven than romance-focused, but there are elements of romance in it. This game does have a bit of a slow start, due to chapter 2 having a butt-load of side content, but when the story gets going after that, it gets going and really quickly too. The story is fantastic, it has multiple twists and turns and I even found a second character in gaming that I hate, only one other game ever did that for me. I won't name the character for spoiler reasons. Then the truth of the story and the multiple endings, but what really sealed the deal as the best visual novel I have ever played was the heroine ending. After what happens in the story, I cried so much because the ending was so sweet and heart-warming. The game as an entire story and visual novel is amazing and has far surpassed the cute catgirls, (which is also pretty good) that I was used to before in the world of visual novels. Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk is an easy 10/10 and I would highly recommend it as a visual novel to play for anyone looking for a really good story that gets you thinking about how every piece of the puzzle fits together. It has rightfully earned a spot among some of my favourite games of all time and is the first game I have ever completed 100% for achievements.

This is more light hearted than its predecessor but also darker somehow…

william shakespeare has nothing on how drama filled this game was. take notes bill my man
