Sinceramente, no me lo terminé pero porque está en ingles y me da paja, no tanta como la que me dió

I'm not here to yuck anybody's yum, but I'll certainly "What-the-fuck?" their yum.

This is possibly the worst VN/Eroge I have played.

You play as Kaede, who has just transferred schools again. His parents have high expectations for him which he does not seem to be living up to. His new teacher suggests joining a club to get him more involved with school, but warns Kaede against joining the swim club. Of course, this piques his interest so he head to the pool after school, where he finds two beautiful girls whose swimsuits are practically falling off of them! Obviously, this is the club for him!

While this is a mostly light-hearted romantic story, it does go to some dark places. Both girls have some trauma that they’ve been working through, so those are discussed. But not in too much detail.

Visuals

Sakura Swim Club is done in vibrant anime style. I really liked how it looked. Of course, there’s lots of big boobies, but they’re not overly exaggerated, which I appreciated. Hiromi and Mieko a looked like “real” busty girls, not just walking knockers.

Sound Effects + Music

There’s quite a variety of background music in Sakura Swim Club. The first track is very summery, which does fit the swimming theme, but not necessarily for a high school club. It felt more like summer vacation at the beach music. However, the other tracks are quite different. The music does change with every location change, so you’re never hearing the same song for too long. The tracks do repeat though, but that’s to be expected. The only one that got annoying was the track that plays during “awkward” moments. Which is a lot of the time. It sounded like it would be more at home in a Donkey Kong 64 mini game.

The girls’ lines are all fully voice acted! I was very surprised by that, but in a good way. It’s nice to hear the tone of the dialogue (and I like blasting brain with Japanese while I’m trying to learn it off and on). There’s also quite a bit of ambient noise, from birds chirping in the morning, to the sounds of the pool.

Gameplay + Controls

Sakura Swim Club is a visual novel with several choices and no additional gameplay. It’s easy to read and get sucked into. Just press Enter and enjoy! There are no branching paths or alternate endings. And oddly, there are zero achievements.

Replayability

Being a visual novel, Sakura Swim Club is replayable. Even though there are only a few choices, it’s fun to see how selecting something different changes the story. It’ll just be some changes in dialogue, since the story is the same all the way through.

Overall

Sakura Swim Club was a fun story, pretty typical. I found myself quickly invested as I wanted to know what really happened to start all of those rumors about the girls. And it was funny to see where they all ended up in the end.
