Save the Date

released on May 27, 2013

It’s a perfectly normal evening, and you have a quiet dinner planned with one of your friends. And so begins one of my weirder games. Save the Date is a game about a lot of things. Friendship. Stories. Hope. Destiny. And above all else, dinner. This is actually kind of hard. I know what I think the game is about, but the game is kind of weird and experimental, even by my standards, and I don’t really want to say too much in advance. Probably best for people to play it without knowing what they’re getting into. Featuring music from the fantastic Francisco Cerda, Save the Date is probably the single thing I have worked on that I am most proud of. But don’t just take my word for it – sit down, clear about an hour from your schedule, and play it for yourself.

I think about this often, more people should know about this game.

good stuff. pretty on the nose but i don't think that's a bad thing, especially for something from 2013. was pretty surprised part of the game revolves around modifying game files. obviously not the first nor the last to do so but that always puts a smile on my face.

Condescending, postmodern tripe. Tries to be an edgier Stranger Than Fiction or the Stanley Parable but only manages to waste your time. Don't look for a satisfying ending; there isn't one. (Oh, and Specs Ops: The Line is actually good.)

A free text adventure game. If you liked Spec Ops: The Line you'll like this? Why? Play it and find out.
