A solid entry to the SoulCalibur series.
Similarly to the previous games, the story mode is unfortunately boring at best, but everything else is pretty great.

Gameplay-wise, it's fun and varied, the character roster is nice and the character designs are creative and cool.

Customization is top tier as always, there are so many things you can customize in your characters, it's easily one of the best parts of the game.

Also, the amount of content is satisfying, and the multiplayer is decent.

Personally I'm not really a fan of the fact that many characters are paid DLC, I wish there was a progression system where you can unlock characters, but oh well...
Overall I think this game is genuinely fun, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Final Rating: "Good" ~ 7/10.

SoulCalibur VI delivers a solid fighting experience with its weapon-based combat, but it also introduces a surprising element with the inclusion of Karate moves. Despite the game primarily focusing on weapon-based combat, the addition of Karate adds a refreshing twist to the gameplay, allowing players to mix martial arts techniques with traditional weapon attacks.

The game's decision to reset the timeline and introduce new characters like Patrokalos was met with mixed reactions, particularly from fans of Siegfried, who felt overshadowed by the new protagonist. However, this change breathes new life into the series, offering a fresh narrative direction and exciting gameplay possibilities.

Overall, SoulCalibur VI is a strong entry in the series, combining solid fighting mechanics with unexpected twists that keep the gameplay engaging and exciting.

Score: 8/10

Mechanically sound, neutral-game focused, and a very high skill ceiling. The frame data is easy to learn and common sense. Playing this game competitively can either be the most rewarding or most frustrating experience, but regardless it’s constant knowledge checking. Calibur 6 is very deep and offers pretty much every play style archetype from traditional FG’s plus free-form 3D movement. Sometimes a bit frustrating with hit boxes and defense mechanics (counter hit retracking, reversal edge, and unstoppable “vertical” hit boxes come to mind first).

The games way too dead now or I’d recommend everybody play it.we will never get a weapons based 3d fighter this good again
