Game Review - by Spinner 8

Apparently everything I dislike in particular about the Super Robot Wars series – the stupid incoherent plot, the [redacted] SD mecha, the playing grid that looks like it took five minutes to draw with a crayon – have been entirely done away with for Masoukishin. It’s a side story, which means it has a plot of its own and doesn’t concern itself with the big war of the Mazingers and the whatever else (hell, I don’t know). All the mecha units finally look how they’re supposed to, so you can actually take them seriously now. And surprise to beat all surprises, it looks like Banpresto actually managed some effort in making good-looking graphics, instead of belching out another robot game and fully expecting everyone to buy it just because.

Of course, everything I dislike about strategy RPGs in general still applies to Masoukishin. Oh well.
