AMAZING X2
A good collection of arcade game ranging from the early 80's to late 90's. Dozens of hours of fun to be had. Crazy balloon goes real hard though.
This shit got bubble bobble.
While still having the same issues as 1 in terms of emulation quality and little in the ways of extras, I vastly prefer this collection over the first one simply because it has a lot more of my favorite Taito games, and arguably has more of their interesting output. Take that, GameSpot, obscure doesn't always mean bad.
...at least, my take applies to the PC/Xbox version. The PlayStation 2 version, while fine enough, and may be preferred for some due to its inclusion of G-Darius and RayStorm, feels worse than the MAME-with-a-menu approach that 1 and 2 PC/Xbox did, oddly enough, with even less extras, more spotty emulation for some games, and weird glitches like on the version of Puzzle Bobble 2 on the NTSC version of the collection (NTSC uses the weird localized version of PB2, Bust a Move Again, while the PAL version has normal old PB2, so it doesn't have the glitches, oddly). It also loses Bubble Symphony, and while it has Balloon Bomber instead, it's major points off for me. On the other hand, 2 on PC uses the infamous StarForce DRM, although that's easy to remove with a No-CD patch, if you know where to find it, and to further twist the knife, the Xbox version was only ever released in Europe, although luckily it's region free. I guess it's subjective which is the better version of the collection, but I'm feeling the PC/Xbox version overall.
