Wonderful cinematics and storytelling. Just a bit too short for me.

It's pretty good. I must say there are some strange decisions with the controls, particularly the way Drummer always faces in the direction of the camera while walking (which was particularly strange considering that Avasarala in Archangel does move freely, maybe something to do with the fact you can walk on walls when in zero g?), and the way the camera phases through walls, but both issues pretty quickly faded into the background after the first episode.

One thing that didn't was how certain things like the spacesuit helmet visors didn't quite play along with some of the shaders like the depth of field blur used in many scenes so they stuck out like a sore thumb. It was particularly noticeable in the DLC with all the holograms and transparent surfaces. I suppose I can't really hold it against this game too much since I think it's to do with the Unreal engine? Still, it was pretty distracting.

But what you're actually here for, the story, is quite good and worth your time. Most of the characters are fun and compelling and the plot is quite interesting. I don't like to judge these kinds of adventure games on the amount of different endings there are, especially since this is a prequel and Drummer and Avasarala's stories need to go in a particular direction for them to be where they are at the start of the books/show. Instead, I'll say that the choices during the story itself were generally interesting and there were cases where I got to the chapter summary and went "wait, I could've done that?!" I definitely wanna replay this at some point to see the different paths.

A lot of criticism I see of this game leans on how you won't get much out of this if you're not already familiar with The Expanse, which I find pretty unfair since that's something you can say about most prequels to large franchises. It is something worth noting, but I wouldn't put it against this game and instead use it as an excuse to recommend you go read/watch the main series first. Otherwise, if you're already an Expanse fan, I'd definitely recommend this.

TellTale is back with a banger. I dont know anything about The Expanse, but I generally enjoy these narrative games and this one is no different. Great storyline with choices that matter and a little more gameplay than your typical TellTale game. This was a phenomenal first game back and I'm only more excited to see where they go from here with The Wolf Among Us II.

I was late to this title, but I highly recommend giving it a shot, especially if you enjoyed these TellTale games in the past.

I'm just finishing episode two, and I am really enjoying myself. The story so far is interesting, the characters are memorable, and if you enjoyed the series, this is definitely a nice perk. The only issue I have with the game so far is the graphics - it could have been much better, especially the textures. Maybe this game was rushed.

The characters aren't all that interesting and even the setting, the plot, the story... very meh. It feels like Telltale was just looking to fund any starter-up project, they can definitely do better there.

Oportunidad perdida (4,30)
