Kind of a rough transition to the PS4. The allstar lives and so on are nice, as is the rhythm game part, but the actual management section of the game feels pretty hollow this time around. Isn't helped that this game more or less cut out the narrative aspect of the series: promotions for example are just a dice rolling minigame this time around. There's some events but they're few and far between, about one or two per rank.
The escalation from collecting sea shells on a beach to "Top idols can change fate, Azusa!" within like 2 events was funny though. It's a similar escalation for rank events in the other games as well, but the lack of events inbetween here makes it all feel a lot more drastic.
