The best thing about the game is the gameplay. It’s perfected in every way. The story is really good. But not as good as the first one. The pacing of the game is sometimes off. Graphics are amazing

A View From The Heitz: The Last of Us Part II is about consequences. The consequences of our choices, actions and inactions that lead us to a cycle of violence that is mirrored in the duality of its characters. Love it or hate it, this beautifully written story makes you live those consequences as it masterfully transitions you through the spectrum of every emotion backed by solid gameplay and beyond impressive visuals. The Last of us Part II is incredibly realized, amazingly acted, beautifully designed and emotionally significant.

Difficulty: 2/10
Time: 25-30 Hours
Trophy Guide: Only if you need help locating collectibles
Trophy List Score: 9/10

The Last of Us had a notoriously bad trophy list. 12 trophies, half of which were difficult related trophies and two multiplayer trophies made this platinum a chore for many gamers.

Thankfully, the team at Naughty Dog took that feedback and gave us a complete 180 degree turn with one of the best trophy lists I have seen in a AAA game. On this list there are no difficulty related trophies, nothing that can be missed and a chapter selection screen that displays your progress with the ability to grab a collectible and immediately exit. There are 3 secret trophies that are vague in their description to avoid spoilers that you can easily get in chapter select after the game is done. The rest of the trophies are focused on picking up 266 collectibles, visiting every location in downtown Seattle, finding every workbench and upgrading weapons/abilities which will take 1.5 – 2 play-through's to complete. The second play-through is the only thing keeping this list from a perfect score but with how amazing this game is, a second play-through is not a big ask.

Additionally, the developer has added many accessibility options that make finding collectibles easy but not needed. For example, you can turn on high contrast visual aids that will highlight all collectibles in yellow. There is also an option for auto-pick up where your character will pick up items in close proximity without the need to press a button.

My one recommendation would be to have a manual save during the very last chapter that can always be reloaded in case of any auto save issues you could (but should not) experience down the road. Happy Trophy Hunting!

Perfect game for me, with great story, visuals and story telling. Very brutal but also packed with emotions. Just like the first part will always have a place in my heart.
