In the future, Earth must protect itself from alien invaders, a task handled by the Science Special Search Party. However, they are not alone in this endeavor. After crashing his ship on Earth while in pursuit of the evil alien Bemular, the super-being Ultraman is here to help whenever the attacking aliens prove too much for humanity alone to handle. Standing hundreds of feet tall with incredible strength and amazing abilities, he can only remain on Earth for a few minutes, and so must defeat his foes before his power drains completely. Based on the popular television show from 1967, Ultraman directly follows the story of its source material. Cast in the role of the titular Ultraman, the player must defeat many of the same monsters that appeared in the original series. Taking the appearance of a 1-on-1 fighting game, Ultraman can punch, kick, and grapple his opponent, as well as use a variety of various special moves that must be charged. However, in order to actually defeat his opponent, Ultraman must deplete their continually-recharging life bar, and at that moment hit with his most powerful special attack: the Specium Beam. As the game continues, different enemies may even find ways to avoid this most formidable attack, and Ultraman must adapt... Each stage has a time limit of only three minutes, and there are three lives and no continues.

Bad grpahics, music, horrible controls and terrible gameplay. Literally, nothing good and the content is so bare bones its not worth even trying for 5 minutes. If they just made a standard tournament fighter it would of been infinitely better or another ultraman platformer because those seemed to do rather well. SAD

i got this shit from a flea market in 98 and never learned how to do the funny beam attack u gotta use to actually win any battles so lil me was just wailin on the first dude for hours with no idea on how to actually progress

more like ultraman towards the bargain bin
hey-o!

Miserable fighter with unresponsive controls, though it's better than Mazin Saga Mutant Fighter at least. Delay is pretty bad too. Best bet is genuinely just jumping around and kicking until something takes place

My aunt had a Super Nintendo. I'm still not quite sure why as I don't think she played it herself nor did she have any children. Even more perplexing to me was that she had this Ultraman game for it. So, she ended up giving me her SNES as a gift when I was ready to move on from 8-bit games, and this unfortunately came with it.

I tell this story for no other reason than that the circumstances around me acquiring this game are far more interesting than the game itself. I had no idea what an Ultraman was (what western kid even did at the time). It's hard as balls and not very fun to play. I still hear the sound effects of the monsters in my sleep. Gudis II was a wasted slot in the roster. I'll never get the time back from my childhood that I spent trying to beat this awful game. Learn from my mistake.
