he is in awe of the natural beauty of the world: the video game

this feels like rlcraft but without being ducktaped together on java and instakilled by normal enemies

It's not really my kind of survival game, but a friend bought it for me and I did my time. All in all, it has a few unique things that set it apart from the obvious comparisons, but it still feels a little too much like a Minecraft Technic modpack trying to aim for realism with one or two key fantasy elements to set it apart. The dev obviously cares a lot about it, and has put a lot of good work into it, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't just make me want to play Hexxit for a few hours

stop comparing it to minecraft and you might enjoy this one!

I see have the honor of writing the first review on here for this little gem of a game.

Let's get this out of the way first: yes, this game looks like Minecraft. And my sales pitch to the average person would be "Did you ever wish Minecraft was prettier and also way harder?"

I love when games make me work for things. Not grind mindlessly, mind you, but actually WORK every step of the way. From foraging to nuggets of copper, to melting them, casting them into a proper pickaxe, then exploring for semi-rare veins of ore (and also having to make the crucible, casting molds, anvils, smelteries, etc.), this just highlights one branch of what this game expects you to do to carve out a place in its world.

Even with the blocky looks, somehow this game manages to have an aesthetic like no other. It is very easy to make beautiful buildings, and the scenery is always gorgeous no matter where you are in the procedurally generated world.

Even if you don't like the thought of working hard for your stuff, there are options in world generation to make it easier, and there's always a creative mode. I implore anyone who stumbles across this review or this game to give it a try. Tyron and those working with him have made a wonderful game with a vibrant community. The discord is packed and always advertising servers and more than willing to help new people.
