Janky and repetitive collectable platformer with a strong opening and a weak end game. Excellent music and theming with enjoyable characters. Great dry humour. Forced the 100% and the final level/boss were a pain.

Top tier track: Main Street

I love 00s mascot platformers and consider myself to be very lenient with their shortcomings.

Despite this, i found myself actively disliking Voodoo Vince. Vince himself is a annoying asshole, the platforming feels slow and terrible and the back half of the levels are some of the most tedious levels in platforming.

I was so ready to give this 4 stars. It's charming, fun, a little bit aged in its humor but ultimately a good time with maybe one or two jank mechanics. But then you get to the final level, the carnival, and HOLY SHIT the carnival. This is what everybody THINKS the Meat Circus from Psychonauts is in terms of difficulty, that shit was baaaaad. Directionless, way too precise platforming had me suffering for a couple hours, and soured the game for me.

It's a solid game, and if you can get it at a discount (I got it on Steam for $4) I'd say it's worth it, but beware of that carnival level lol.

Dry/blunt 2003 humour + ear melting jazzy OST came in clutch. Otherwise it's a pretty trippy but basic platformer. Fans of psychonauts, rayman, bfbb might like this

honestly? one the more bare bones and vanilla 3D platformers ive played that got REAL tedious around the second half and has aged not that well overall i think.

But hey, the ost is a jam and the art direction is real nice, not worth a second visit tho.
