It's one hell of a game. Great mystery that blends in comedy and drama quite seamless. Date and Aiba are a great pair together to help you find clues....and Mizuki is a great character in itself.
The gameplay is like walking point and click game, and it's done with Aiba...who is your eye, lol. She can create an area where she can see what happened in a certain area or get clues, it makes for an interesting time. AI also has a whole bunch of branching paths that give you multiple endings, and one main ending after you do everything.
The biggest compliment is the writing itself, it's so cleverly written whether it's when you find out about certain plots in the story, and the hilarity that happens with Date...he's quite the strange character who's a bit...uh...lewd, lol. He has some of the funniest scenes I've seen in a game.
I have to recommend this to everyone, its an awesome story with large replayability with the branching paths and just an overall good time!

Even when I reached a conclusion, I only had so many questions before I came to the real end, it's strange, familiar, not really your typical sci-fi, even Inception won't prepare you for this. The strength of this game (which could be seen as a weakness for others) is how much it forces you to rewind time and to deduce things differently so you can access other routes. I don't have anything to tell unless you already played the game

silly, gorey and horny and yet extremely compelling. ace attorney’s chaotic evil cousin.

Im a sucker for text novel games like danganronpa and phoenix wright but I also really like mystery games, so this game was perfect for me. I really like a lot of the characters and the story is also written pretty well. While there is some pretty cringe shit and it can be weird, I enjoyed this game a lot and I have the 2nd one in my backlog. 9/10

Reviewing every game i've fully completed #20

finished story: march 29
all achievements: april 1

stuck between rating it 4 or 4 1/2 but i really enjoyed playing this
story reveal was satisfying unlike some certain other games and the characters are all wonderful
the mystery stays interesting to the end and all the hints they drop along the way without outright revealing the Thing are really neat

mizuki, aiba, and date are my favorites for sure and the dynamic between each of them was what i enjoyed the most
very very sweet :< mizuki route had my favorite resolution too

did not mind the comedic tone although it is a little jarring when youre in an ultra serious situation near the end of a route and aiba is like date you motherfucker and dates like ^w^ lollllllllll but i have a bigger bone to pick with this game than that

qte sequences are funny but odd and not really tense
i didnt enjoy the somniums at first compared to the puzzles of ZE but i gradually warmed up to them, mostly for their very surreal atmosphere

well animated in a way that looks nice and doesnt take you out of the game but there are some clipping issues sometimes and the dance is just a liiiiittle awkward but its fine, the game looks good overall
played with jp voices and they were fantastic but many people seem to like the english dub too so maybe ill check that out at some point

onto my big huge enormous issue that actively holds back my enjoyment of the game. how fucking creepy every man is to iris

sometimes i didnt mind date being horny because it was kinda funny but every time it involved iris i just rolled my eyes so far back into my head it was bad
i really like iris. shes a sweet character, her being a streamer and an idol is fun, and shes a big nerd into the occult and conspiracy theories partially to cope
shes such a major character and most things male characters say about her are the most disgusting creepy shit

i know shes an idol and the obsessive love is just the way that these things go but the way this actually drives the story forward with kumakura and ota is maddening !!!!!!!!!!
SHES 18!!!!!!!! we dont need to hear these grown ass men be insanely horny for her and its never ever ever ever funny! i know thats what its supposed to be, comedy, but it fucking sucks!!!!

the thing i hated the most was them making date continue to be creepy as fuck towards her even after they both knew what their previous relationship was!!!!!
i know date regards himself as a different person from falco but i think it sucks to write him thinking of her like that anyways and it upsets me immensely

anyways. the rest of it was good and fun and the jokes were funny for the most part but that is such an enormous issue for me thats such a major part of the game that prevents me from liking it fully

A private dick with a chip on his shoulder (and left eye) solves a mystery: featuring an ethot, her simp and a mommy cop boss.

A murder mystery "Just like my Japanese Animes!"

It's weird, it's serious, it's engaging, it's fun, it's emotional. The game is all over there in terms of tone, but deep down it's just a really interesting murder mystery with some very lovable characters.

It's a game that you won't forget, or regret, A-set!

I wish uchikoshi fans would be real and say this game is some ZTD tier shit so me and my friend wouldn't have bothered playing this

A complete mess in regard to tone, but the narrative and the mystery is engaging with some lovable characters (except Ota) and the voice acting is good.

Although I am not in love with it, it may strike a chord with you, and if you're a fan of Zero Escape, other Spike Chunsoft titles, or Ace Attorney, I'd recommend giving this a shot.

The kills are also shockingly brutal.

Some routes could have used more screentime and some of the somniums could have been beefier, but I still love this game to bits. Absolutely endearing adventure game.

aiba should've beat up date more

Got to the part where surprise the guy is dead in the cafe and said "Oh brother." Closed the game and never reopened it

never have I switched back and forth from "I hate this guy" to "I love this guy" so many times

I downloaded this game through Game Pass, although I'm not sure why.

twink death is real. it can happen to you. it happened to date.

characters: 9/10
The characters are one of the selling points making the game stand out IMO. What hinders the characters from being 10/10 is Dante's perverseness. I thought it was quite fine, however, I can see others thinking poorly of the MC due to it.

Story: 8.5/10
The mystery part of the game, and unlocking the story as you progress are all very good. What deducts points from the story are two things: 1) Spontaneous comedic moments appearing which can break immersion. 2) Depending on the order you play chapters you could get heavy implications of the truth behind the mystery, which otherwise would be seen near the ending.
As I think the characters are one of the Big points of the game, the spontaneous comedic acts although they did break emersion, were in line and reinforced the characters' personality.

music: 8/10
As stand-alone music, I would rate the general OST as 4.5/10, however, if we combine it with the story and characters in mind then the OST fits in perfectly with the game and helps the game to stand out.

Summary: 8/10
Quite a good game, but if you want a 100% immersion mystery game this is not for you as there are scenes that break the immersion from mystery/seriousness to comedy.

SUPER good visual novel, i adore the whole cast
not usually a fan of this genre but this is built different

esperaba mas teniendo en cuenta que es el mismo creador de la saga de Zero Escape aunque fue bastante entrenido con ese final meme XD

i actually REALLY loved this game and had a lot of fun. the ending montage was very heartfelt to me and i remember being extremely happy. i remember 2 things about the actual plot bc i played when it came out but i had a lot of fun. luv it

Porn addict solves murder mystery if anyone hates this they arent real and its a bot review

hello this is one of the greatest stories ever?

Witty and fun visual novel with one of the greatest casts in fiction, uchikoshi I kneel

First thing I wanna note with AITSF is that I played the switch version. This is quite possibly the only switch port I've played to date that is genuinely bad (instead of just the usual "portable console has compression" complaints I've often seen). Area and new day transitions grind the frame rate to a halt, and both Aiba's AI sight images and flashback scenes in dialogue take several seconds to load at almost every occurrence beyond midgame. This is tolerable up until endgame where there's... a LOT of flashbacks and AI sight usage to recite the entire case and half of its backstory, which unfortunately did lead to some frustration as I was playing.

That being said... AITSF is still a great game, and I really enjoyed my time with it! I wasn't big on the QTEs, I felt the porn jokes got a bit repetitive (I'm fine with them, some are genuinely funny, but the same ones get used a little too much imo) and I definitely started with the wrong ending for good narrative progression, but it didn't prevent this from being a blast. The somniums are weird and wonderful, the characters shine through with their absurdist yet endearing attitudes, and the mystery itself was as grisly as it was compelling! I thought a couple of plot points could've used more exploration but it didn't have a significant impact on my enjoyment or anything. Soundtrack is also a hell of a banger, really nails the atmosphere every time. I also wanna mention that despite sharing certain staples, AITSF moves away from some of Kotaro Uchikoshi's commonly known tropes, which I personally liked as it freed up the narrative for him to test some new ideas (and even make a lighthearted parody of his old ones!)

So yeah, love this game, and tbh I'd say if the switch is your only option, it's still playable and most content runs fine, especially the somniums which are the most important due to time sensitive navigation. Just... if you have any other console or a PC that can run it, please play it on literally anything else.
