There's a lot to like about this game, I loved the atmosphere and level design in particular.

I liked some of the bossfights, my favourites were father Gascoigne and the final boss (not the secret final boss, I didn't get that ending), the other bosses mostly ranged from good to okay in my opinion (Micolash is the exception to this as his fight was miserable).

For me the chalice dungeons actively made the game worse, without them I would easily give this game an 8/10, they're just boring and repetitive to me and the more difficult ones just felt more annoying than anything else to me.

The gameplay also felt solid overall, most of the general combat felt good, but I do feel like the dodge when you're locked on is a little slow to start up. This made some attacks feel unreactable with the delay between inputting dodge and the I-frames actually coming out, I got frustrated by this a good amount over my playthrough.

I also have some issues with the health vial system, because you permanently run out of them if you use too much, things like poison swamps are more obnoxious than ever because of the health lost from poison. Sometimes I got close to beating a boss only to lose too many health vials and have to grind for more instead of being able to retry and learn the bossfights. It also doesn't help that your blood echoes that you need to buy more healing items with are lost upon dying, so you have to just stop fighting the boss to farm more heals. Also the cost of blood vials increases over the course of the game, which makes this problem last a little later into the game than it otherwise would've. Thankfully this mostly goes away in the late game, where you're able to stock more and more over the course of the game to the point that you are unlikely to run out even after spending 60 on one fight.

With all that being said, when this game feels good to play, few games can compare to the feeling of playing it, the DLC is also really good and worth playing.

THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER SOULS LIKE BLOODBORNE

If I had played it back then it would probably be my favorite souls.

I can't keep up with souls like games, but it's great anyway

Made me too angry I couldn't finish it

After getting through The Old Hunters DLC and finally defeating the final and then FINAL final boss, I can say that this is probably the most depressing game I’ve ever played while at the same time being unbelievably awe-inspiring and addictive at the same time. The story and world, while cool, I do wish were more clearly laid out. Digging through item descriptions as the MAIN means of piecing together some through line of a plot is unique and not something I’ve ever seen in a game before; however, when one cryptic NPC speech bleeds into the next with little fanfare in between, it does leave one a bit lost and wondering about the point of it all without instantly taking to an online forum for possible explanations.

first half is sooooo good but the second half after the spider can suck my freaking ass

a true masterpiece, and potentially the best souls. Bloodborne is one of the best visually beautiful games, it has excellent level design and an arduous challenge, the world is enriched with fantastic lore and graphics that are remarkable for a 2015 game. there are some flaws: a really uncomfortable and annoying camera, an unstable framerate, which hasn't been resolved even on Playstation 5, and the duration of the main quest isn't that long (I finished the game in about 21 hours). Despite this, it must be played, an experience that I will remember for a lifetime.

Points deducted from this perfect game for running at the same framerate as Armored Core (1997)

Hard as piss and memorable as hell

I couldn t use the chikage in my first run so i m gonna give it 3.5

The best game i ever played.

This is the pinnacle of video games. No video game comes close in terms of gameplay, boss fights, music, atmosphere. Everything about this game is exceptional. Yharnam is hauntingly beautiful and full of so many terrifying and nightmarish creatures which make such dreadful noises. The drip of the characters is phenomenal. The fact that this game has stagger? Holy shit it makes me feel like such an unstoppable hunter out to find and slaughter prey.

Bro, words are not enough, I need to fuck this game. I want to have sex with this game fr.

Incredible achievement in game design. I cannot believe this is a real game. Don’t even get me started on the dlc. The best dlc of any game. Elevates the whole game and the lore. Miyazaki is an artist in every sense of the word.

It’s bloodborne baby, it’s amazing, it’s perfect. Why haven’t you played it yet?

An absolutely incredible game held back by some content that is either just mediocre or straight up bad. On my second playthrough I was able to overlook a lot of the stuff I didn't like and I absolutely love this game. The world is so incredible and unique and the combat feels so tight and nimble. Not my favourite Souls game but it's close.

Best combat in the souls series besides Sekiro

Another Fromsoft game, another pitiful excuse for a difficulty curve. If you want to make your game hard have the decency to add a dad mode that makes it bearable

If i had to choose my favorite “soulsborne” game it would have to be this one. First things first, the environment and atmosphere is on a whole other level. Combat is pretty refined and has a cool emphasis on aggression which i think is good for the series. Still need to play Old Hunters but Bloodborne is a 10/10 experience.
