One of the best fighting game collections on the market.

A pantheon of classic titles from one of the best fighting game developers, all coming together with a high amount of care, an amazingly detailed artstyle, a really solid online thanks to the implementation of rollback netcode, and a great amount of love in the form of concept arts, modes and customizable options for any type of player.

My favorite from this collection are Vampire Savior, a certified capcom classic able to stay on top of most modern fighters, and Cyberbots full metal madness, I feel one of the most underrated arcade games from the company.

If you are a fighting game fan you can't miss this one!

Really good collection and has rollback for every game but sadly it's a ghost town. Only real problem I have with the collection is that Cyberbots doesn't have all the characters from the console version. Red Earth being on here is super cool though since it's never released on console, that game kicks ass and is a really interesting idea for a fighting game rpg hybrid. I suck at Puzzle fighter but Gem Fighter is my favorite game on the entire collection. Love all the cute moves and references all the characters do. Easily one of the best collections Capcom put out in recent years.

Every year we don't get a new Darkstalkers game, my heart breaks.

Pretty good collection, decent selection of games and good online, only thing that could make this better is if it had SF3

Would recommend but get it on sale, not worth full price, half price is fine!

Every single game here is great. Buy it so Capcom knows we want Darkstalkers 4.

amazing port with a stellar library and menu music. bring back darkstalkers

This games main menu theme goes harder than it ever deserved too.

It's like 50% Darkstalkers, but it's still a good collection. Also Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix is Capcom's best game.

Dark Stalkers Fan :(

VSAV Enjoyer :)

bought it for puzzle fighter. still love that game.

Darkstalkers alone is worth three stars. Seeing Capcom give a damn about old 2D fighters, and a few titles that could’ve been lost to time, puts it over the top. Game preservation done right in most aspects.

Die Kollektion bringt zehn viel zu oft übersehene Vertreter des Genres auf die modernen Konsolen und das in einer Form in der Noobs bis Profis Spaß damit haben können.

This is the fighting game collection I have been waiting for. Having Darkstalkers on the go is something I have been missing since the psp days. (RIP my PSP batteries, they exploded.) Now that I have that again, I couldn't be more happy.

But then I rediscovered my love for Pocket Fighter. I haven't touched it in years but this collection got me hooked on it again.

I'm not holding out hope for a new Darkstalkers game but having these old ones easily available on my Switch is worth the $40. Plus the other games are a great time as well.

The bonuses are cool if you are into concept art and like the music. I have the Darkstalkers art book, so I have seen most of what they include already for those games. But some of the other games' art I don't think I've seen floating around anywhere.

It's a great collection of games that get little love from Capcom (Well minus Street Fighter II. They will give us 100 more versions of Street Fighter II if they can.)

I'm gonna go play more now~~

This collection has mad love put into it, they did a fantastic job at packaging this for big fans and new players alike

This collection is a blast! It's got some of the more underrated titles in Capcom's fighting game repertoire, and unlike the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, has training and online for all of the games!
It even has rollback, which is really cool!

While trying to get all of the Fighter Awards got a bit tedious after a while, they do encourage to see every character's ending, I just think that maybe it was a bit unnecessary for games like Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2.

Overall, this is a solid collection that I recommend everyone to pick up!

I bought this because it was on sale for a good price, and I have now been transformed into a Capcom fighting game fanatic. This collection is amazing. The games are tons of fun, the presentation is really good, and the number of options is so cool. My only issues are the fact that there's only one save state across all the games and that when you scroll over a japanese-exclusive game, it automatically switches all the games to their japanese versions which is mildly inconvenient, but those are small problems in the grand scheme of how good this collection is. Whether you're a veteran, casual, or newbie, this is a great collection to pick up.

Incredible CRT filters, a good package of arcade games.

This collection includes every Darkstalkers game. I hope it's a sign Darkstalkers 4 is in the works.

almost perfect! if only this had cross-play between all of the different platforms.

THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE:
- Smooth performance for every game
- Online play WITH ROLLBACK
- Tons of unlockable bonus materials for each game
- TRAINING MODE
- Achievements

It's what any and every game collection release should strive to be.

This is a:
- Fighting Game collection full of really fun to play obscure titles that have gone by the wayside
- Fighting Game collection with rollback netcode
- Fighting Game collection with a comprehensive archive of all sorts of material, from design documents, to concept art, to even print ads
- Fighting Game collection with a chill hip-hop soundtrack, full of non stop bangers

I could not recommend this enough to fighting game fans, practically a must have. And please Capcom, bring back Darkstalkers! Don't keep Ruby Heart and Amingo locked on MvC2!

And while I'm making demands, please Capcom: Make a Capcom 3D Fighting Collection. Rival Schools, Power Stone, Star Gladiator! Even throw in a Street Fighter EX game if you want, alongside Cannon Spike! All these games with online rollback would make my entire existence. I really hope that this type of collection doesn't end here.

Delightful bundle of games - if you've ever wanted to check out the Darkstalkers series (and why wouldn't you?!?!) this is an incredible way to do it - plus they threw some other cool shit in there too. The Japanese title of Red Earth was Warzard - that's so fucking good.

Is it a copout to say my current contender for GOTY is a collection of a bunch of arcade ROMs from the 90s / 00s? Not when it's arguably the ultimate love letter to an entire genre.

Ignoring the specific games included for a second, this package is od. First home release of many of the games here, ALL games have a training mode (even those that never did in their old console ports!) completely themed around them, online with rollback netcode for EVERY game instead of Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, unique banner art for every game instead of just using stock art of characters (many of which were not from the specific game you were playing), first releases of artwork that has been thought to have been lost in time, and the cherry on top: all perfect arcade emulation where you can choose the USA OR JPN version of each game when available! This goes beyond characters changing names or some different sprites / animations, some games contain small balance changes between them. For example: the JPN version of Hyper SF II's Super X version of Zangief has the 90% guaranteed stun on Zangief's air 8HP, where the US version of Hyper SFII's Super Turbo version of Zangief doesn't have any special properties for that move.

For specific games: this is the first home release for Red Earth PERIOD, this is the first time Hyper SF II, arguably the best version of Street Fighter II, has gotten a home release since 2003, this is the first Western home release ever for Cyberbots, the first Western non-PSX release of any post-Night Warriors Darkstalkers game (the main appeal for many I am sure), but with that there is the one major missed opportunity. I know I just praised this for using Arcade ROMs instead of home ports, but there's this specific home port of Vampire Savior in Japan that has all characters from every version plus Dee, the non-canon character of Donovan succumbing to his vampire side and Demitri's dying body fusing his head on Donovan's body a la Dio to Jonathan Joestar (in what """""may""""" be a """""coincidence,"""""" Capcom produced a Jojo fighting game around this time [sorry for the run-on parentheses and brackets but I've seen a lot of complaints about Jojo's Venture and Heritage for the Future not being here. I get it, would be truly "complete" with them but they don't have the license, it's unfortunate but was unrealistic to expect it along with the Marvel licenses imo.)

Now that I've 100% completed this with every achievement, I would be completely OK with this replacing fightcade for these games. The convenience is too good to ignore, Capcom still gets financial support for something they absolutely deserve, but the only thing I have an issue with is that I have noticed sometimes after unpausing that it can take a second to get control over your character again or if you're holding back or down you'll have to go to a different direction before it reads going back or down again. Really makes playing Boxer or Dee Jay in Hyper a drag if you need to pause lol.

I didn't want to rate this until I finish every game here but not even halfway through completing them, this blows Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection out of the fucking water. It's a very good sign for Street Fighter 6 that its in the hands of the people who put this collection together, they clearly care for and love fgs a lot.

probably my favorite old games collections, you can tell they put effort porting these games and make it work on consoles/PCs.

This collection made me so damn happy. You mean to tell me I can play Vsav in 2022 with rollback netcode and ranked mode????

Yeah just Vsav alone makes this a 9/10 for me but this is just such a fantastic bundle for the price point. you get 10 games ALL with rollback online and ranked. You can even queue up for all 10 games at once which makes matchmaking faster if you want to play more then one of the games. If you are a fan of Darkstalker you owe it to yourself to buy and support this collection and just have a great time with it!
