Enjoyable! I like it when gun goes bang and vibe be like "futuristic"

Couldn't get through even the polished PS5 demo. I'm pissed it exists.

totalmente injugable el primer año y medio, a día de hoy 20/03/2023 sigue estando re bugueado y siguen sin haber persecuciones policiales... la historia divina y el ANIME GOD

Night City is really well done, its hard to not dwarfed by it during your time there, the districts have all their own style and during my entire 50ish hour run I never got tired of traversing and exploring it.
If you actually bother doing stuff like gigs and the cyberpsycho capture missions it paints a pretty bleak world. Nobody has truly "made it" in night city, top corpos are left to rot the moment they turn useless to the company, elite soldiers are hunted like dogs once their high amount of cyberware starts acting up. Truly the best you can hope is to live your life in your own terms and die in a blaze of glory.
Now my issue with the game lies in what are the typical pitfalls of open world games. While this alone scores tons of points for night city being an actually fun map to explore and traverse unlike most Ubisoft games there's still a myriad of very dull choices. The skill tree seems overwhelming at first, but then you realize that most of the skills are just "do 2,5% more damage with handguns" or "3% more chances of a crit". The looter shooter aspect just made me groan, its no fun that after every shootout I had to comb the are to see if I find a gun that does 5 more points of damage than my current one. While the majority of secondary missions are well done gigs are a very mixed bag, some are good and help paint what kind of world Cyberpunk is more, but a lot of them are just very basic "go there, kill some guys and then leave".
There's a pretty cool narrative and characters here along with a world that's genuinely well made, but sadly everything is just kinda buried under a pile of trite AAA choices.

Nevermind I’m replaying it on PS5 and it has no bugs or optimisation issues so all my major complaints are non existent.

Big game, good ambiances.
For a lover of Cyberpunk themes, it's really reflect it.
Even with bug that can be easily fixed by your self, the game turn good and have to be play.

Bought at its premiere, totally disappointed with all the bugs, now most of them are fixed, but it don't feel the same

main storys a little shorter than expected but i still defo had fun. Big fan of cp, recommend it

went from awful to mid after the patches

launch issues, but overall great

A game I could write a book on. Truly carried by it's excellent fundamentals and ongoing narrative, with a severe lack of polish that holds it back from greatness.

The city itself is absolutely incredible to walk/drive through, you just don't get tired of it. The gigs get somewhat repetitive, although the side quests make up for it. The main story has its ups and downs, but it's decent overall. I'm REALLY sad a male V can't do River or (generally) Takemura, just tragic.

Played on patch 1.6
It's still a glorious mess, but it's pretty playable nowadays, you might even have fun playing it!
Also, David and Rebecca, I avenged you guys.

Still thinking about this one, glad they fixed it and it gets the praise it deserves now

Still a janky piece of shit, probably always will be. The upper management of this studio should probably not be allowed to work on a video game ever again. I still cried at the end though.

The year is 2023. I walked into a Walmart and found a copy of the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 for $10 with a free PS5 upgrade. I proceeded to buy, play and enjoy this game.
I don't how well this game holds up after multiple playthroughs but aside from some bad driving mechanics and a lot of info dumping I enjoyed my Nomad adventure into Night City. It also fulfilled my life's dream of hanging out with Keanu.
This is a weird game, with a weird history and I think people are completely valid for either not liking it, or feeling just burned after its garbage release. However after many updates and quality of life fixes I can safely say Night City is at least worth a visit.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that I played at launch, December of 2020. This review does not take into account the new content they have added to the game since release.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a really fun game. I loved playing as myself in a Cyberpunk world, and it's extremely fun to explore Night City. However, what takes down the experience for me is the way the world didn't tell me where the cool side-quests were. I missed a lot of the really cool side content, and it sucks, because I don't feel like going back again for another playthrough at this moment. The game has gotten a lot of bug fixes, and I believe that the developers intend to fix even more. If you have any interest in this game, I would give it a shot.

Not polished as much as witcher 3. The story is just too short. Lifeless NPCs and surroundings. Probably spend too much budget for hiring YOU KNOW WHO for marketing.

In 2020, the game was slandered.
In 2022, Edgerunners revived the spark.
Story is ok, depressing, but fair, gameplay is fun and thankfully the bugs have been 70% fixed atleast.
Probably one of the faves.

My friend gave me his PS4 copy of Cyberpunk. Here's what I think of the game.
I never really considered what was in this game? I thought it was more of an action RPG than anything. Turns out it's also a looter shooter? Also literally just GTA? While this gameplay takes a lot of ambitious ideas with building your character's stats and having options as to how you approach the game, there's a certain blandness to how they went about this game's design. That being said, I kinda loved this game's design? Lmao. Let me attempt to explain.
After not seeing much of any gameplay of this game and playing it on PS5 two years after the game's launch, I will say, going in mostly blind, the game could be quite stunning at times. When you see night city from a certain height, the artstyle kind of clicks. This game isn't breathtaking, but I started to really feel a part of the world that was made to explore, and I started to immerse myself in all of it.
Before I get into what I loved, Let's get this out of the way. If you don't like the looks of this game, you're gonna hate it lmao. Aspects of it's design are weirdly overstuffed. You'll find yourself ignoring phone calls and missions like crazy. You have the option to go eat food, but also why the fuck would you do that. Yet, the actual meat of the game is talking to characters, making decisions, and then pretty basic gunplay with some hacking shit to keep things interesting. So much detail they put in this that I can't help but wonder if it was even necessary. The detail isn't entirely worth praising because this game STILL ISN'T FUCKING FINISHED. Glitches galore! My car kept clipping into NPCs and going fucking bananas! Cutscenes were occasionally broken and wouldn't play out properly. Not to mention crashing... please fix the crashing CDPR. But the biggest sin of all in this game... was entirely intentional. The fist fighting. Good... LORD. WHO THOUGHT THAT SHIT WAS FUN? The last part of the side job "Beat on the Brat" was utterly atrocious. The person you're fighting, Rhino, just magnetizes to you and kills you in ONE HIT. And it's pointless to dodge! They hit you anyway! (You can literally dodge 5 times consecutively) And when they block, they become unhittable? Who thought that shit was finished? Not to mention it just feels sloppy. You'll find yourself spamming punch because your opponent is stunned and then you will question what you're doing with your life as you keep hitting the trigger. In my opinion? The worst part about this game.
Okay, now I'm done complaining. Cuz yeah I do have complaints, but in all honesty, this was the most fun I've had with an open world in a while.
No, this game isn't as good as Zelda or God of War (I'm not crazy), But this gameplay loop kept bringing me back because I had so much fun being a goofy lil goofball in this universe.
I love borderlands, so the looter shooter aspect really made me love the game more. When I found stronger guns, I absolutely went to town on enemies. You'll go to low level zones and start blasting while doing an evil laugh while doing said blasting. But then the higher level challenges come around and you start to strategize. Using quickhacks weirdly becomes a lot of fun cuz you can make the NPCs do exactly what you need them to do (with enough upgrades). Including making a guy kill himself (My personal favorite). The gunplay isn't top-tier shit, but it's not shallow enough to be considered unfun. Especially when you have upgrades like double jumping. Boy, does the gunplay get silly. And getting better guns is just a great time. Also, katanas and mantis blades? Stupid, but hella fun.
But that's just the combat, what about the story?
Well, underneath the boring exposition dialogue and cutscenes explaining computer sci-fi words, you get an actually decent story about succumbing to living in a shithole posed as a paradise. A concept that's explored really well in my opinion. But what sells it most of all are the performances. The mo-cap is solid but wow, some characters are genuinely really cool to talk to and interact with. Panam, Jackie, Delamain, Judy, Goro, Misty, and of course, Johnny Fucking Silverhand. Characters I grew to love. They were all interesting and had something to lose to some extent (Delamain kinda, his mission was my favorite, that's all I'm trying to say), along with everyone coming from different parts of town. Characters having something to lost feels so thematically right for this story because if you DON'T have something to lose? There's no point living in night city lmao. The dialogue can be a hit or miss, but the character writing? Performances? Animation? Honestly got so invested I didn't even realize the game was over.
It's hard to explain this game's quality. It's poorly made, but there's also so much convenient design choices. It's boring but exciting? All I know is that I was hooked and had a looooot of fun with this game. And I WILL keep playing the post game. I used to play a lot of GTAV, it's almost like this brings back memories in a way, lol.
This game could be better, but I what we got is still a worthwhile experience, if not deeply flawed to the point where it fundamentally won't work with certain players. And besides, I DIDN'T PAY FOR THIS LMAOOO MY FRIEND GAVE IT TO ME!!
If you bought this at launch that's an L for you. Good night!

btw i didn't finished it cuz it was taking too much space on my pc

It's sad to be happy of this game's quality. What I mean is this game is bad for a 2018's standard, but today's? not that bad.
Done with the story in 20ish hrs, I went as slow as possible with the main plot. But couldn't get upgrades for shit. Skill trees are overwh elming and mostly useless IMO. bosses are lackluster. The entire cyber shit went above my head, Ithink the real tresure is in the side stuff, don't know yet tho.
I don't regret I played but I won't really recommend it.

Honestly not a bad game in my eyes. Right when the game released, I had fun playing it and had minimum problems running it. Completely see where everyone's problems are coming from though.

the city and the vibe was great but the dev are so fucking short minded that they create this dog shit story that so boring i couldn't give a fuck about it anymore

Somewhere under the mountain of bugs I experienced when this came out is a good game, but this was the first time I ever gave up on a game from how buggy it was. Some day I’ll give it another try but I have nothing but bad memories from this thing.
