Genuinely a blast, a pretty sizeable improvement over its previous two seasons and not a single bad game in the entire lot this time around. The Swiveller? Awesome. Bounce Party? Love it. Volleyfall? So cool, dude. Speed Circuit? Track Attack? Really fun. So on and so forth. Still not a fan of its free-to-play shenanigans, but I get it - the switch over to this system totally revitalized the game as well as its playerbase, so speaking as someone who's been with this since OG Season 1 that's something you can't put a price on. I'm grateful for that (plus this is right before vaulting became horrendous anyway). The summery theme is a solid bow on top of it all, too. This seemed like the start of great things to come, fresh change and all that - until it began petering off with SS2 and SS3.

"A Solid Jump To Free-To-Play"

With this game moving to a FTP system, I finally found an opportunity to try it out once and for all. While the first few weeks were really fun, the consistency started to lessen as the season progressed. While new modes were added, very few were super fun and added much to the experience.

This season had a cool enough season pass, but the variety of game modes was really, really low. This made completing challenges a chore and many of the rounds were just unfun to play for many reasons still listed in my main review of the game. No doubt is this game easy to pick up, but there are such limited mechanics that matches end up playing out super predictably in one single factor - a lack of control being the reason you or others lose. Crossplay was an alright addition, though it feels sort of late with its implementation.

Besides what's listed above, there really wasn't much else that special about this season. It's a fine reboot for the game in a sort of way, but I see a lot of the community complaining about how the game is trending back towards the quality that plagued it during its earlier days. Unfortunately, I feel the same way despite finding this to be a fun enough season overall.

Final Verdict: 7/10 (Good)

a free to play economy in a game i bought, not the one

i played this game while eating my dino nuggies

bright, colorful, fun, silly. my wife loves this game. it’s gotten so much better since i last played (maybe a month or 2 post launch)
it’s even got little the undertaker. do u think they showed him the concepts? do u think he liked it or was he like “why am i little and small”

I want Mechagodzilla but the EXP output is sucks shit

Hands down my favourite battle royale game ever. Recently got 100% achievements.

Finally was able to give it a try since now it's free, and I must say, I don't understand how Among Us stole his spotlight years ago instead of both being famous for the whole year, since at least, Fall Guys results fun both alone and with friends.

That is, if you don't play more than like 3 matches a day. Then it gets boring real fast because there are always the same minigames and maps.

The addition of show-bucks and the removal of crowns really sucks, but I guess they have to get money in one way or another.

Epic Games has succesfully violated one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time. The way they absolutely murdered the store; plaguing it with microtransactions, so that anything not common is paid. While the core gameplay is still the same; that feeling of being on top with crowns is gone. Originally you'd earn crowns as currency to spend on premium costumes without the ability to pay for them. You could buy Kudos (which was dumb) but honestly it would've been much more tolerable if they made crowns buyable. Would've been the best of both worlds albeit that value wouldn't be the same. It'd be a hell of a lot better than whatever monster Epic Games made. They murdered this game and stitched it back together with microtransactions. Fuck you guys.

On a positive note; the new rounds are really fun, but there's no point to do anything except the season pass. Just grind that out and set it aside until the next season. God save us all.

Playing with my significant other is still fun but I don't have nearly as much fun with this anymore as I once did. Pain.

Fui chamado para as profundezas do "estou de graça" e cai feito patinho.
Basicamente, com amigos fica bem divertido. Já sem amigos ele é... aceitável.
Platina que eu considerei impossível até aparecem as fases únicas. Easy.

A Breath of Fresh and Toxic Air
The hierarchy of power in the Fall Guys Universe has changed. Finally, the biggest update yet has come to Fall Guys and I have to say; I found some parts of it amazing while other parts pretty bad. For those who don’t know, with this season; the whole system of the game has changed. Developers’ way of getting money has changed. Which changed a lot of things.

From now on, Fall Guys is a free to play game. You can simply download it now. This game doesn’t cost anything now. It did previously. With this free to play change, the battle pass and the store got some changes as well. Battle Passes will now have 100 tiers and we have a totally new currency, Show-Bucks. Normally, the whole battle pass was free to everyone. Now, there is a free track and a premium track.

These show-bucks are used to get the Premium Track of the battle pass as well as getting new cosmetics from the store. Crowns are no more. You still get crowns but you can’t use them in store and they are just used to level up your crown pass from now on. Kudos can still get you some cosmetics but they are usually not the prettiest ones. And you won’t earn Kudos from playing games anymore, you need to do challenges which will give you 120 Kudos or something while a costume with Kudos can cost you 2000-3000 Kudos.

Show-Bucks can only be bought from real money. Or you can earn them in the battle pass as well. At least completing a battle pass will give you enough show-bucks to buy the next battle pass. But still, you will need to spend real life money to get a battle pass in the first place. If you are a legacy player however, you will get this first battle pass for free so that’s really nice.

The Season 1 Battle Pass has good rewards in my opinion. I loved the Ezio outfit and the leap of faith celebration. That might be the best celebration in the game yet. And like I said, there are a 100 tiers of rewards. If you like chasing Battle Passes, I think you will enjoy it in this game too. The revamped Daily and Weekly Challenges are a pretty nice touch and yes, they are your main source of getting Fame which is your Battle Pass XP.

So, lots of microtransaction changes. I loved what they did with the battle pass but not using our crowns anymore to buy stuff, most costumes being locked to the real life money currency and playing games not rewarding us with Kudos are terrible. Terrible. These are pretty anti-consumer moves and unfortunately while I liked the new rounds and some of the other changes, that thought never left my head. Fall Guys is now an anti-consumer game. And if you are a legacy player, you will feel the same way too in my opinion. The days where we got new costumes for free just by playing the game a little bit every day, is long gone.

But let’s get onto the more positive stuff. Rounds! This season has the theme of sports? Olympics? Some sort of athletic competions theme is going around here and some of the rounds here are fantastic. Let’s start with the 2 races. Speed Circuit is our lap based round for this season. There is a circular race track and you need to complete 2 laps fast in order to win.

This round has a new mechanic added to it as well. Speed Boosting Gates. Yes, you will go through gates that will give you a pretty good speed boost. And it’s a fun mechanic, fun, fun, fun. I LOVED this round. The second race, Track Attack also uses these speed boosting gates but it’s more like a normal racing round. I really liked that one too. That feeling of speed is pretty good.

We have 2 new finals. 2! And both of them are some of the best in this game. My favorite is Blast Ball. Again, new mechanic! There are these balls in the map, you need to grab them. After you grab them, they will start to heat up. You need to throw them in the right moment so that once they reach the enemy, they explode and they get off the map into the slime. This is very very fun. And very competitive. It’s hard to get used to but once you do, you will be addicted to it just like me.

The other final is Hex-A Ring. There are hex pads, 3 layers of them. And they form a cylinder shape. And that cylinder ramps up it’s speed. You need to be the last one standing. This is very similar to Hex-A Gone of course but thanks to it being 3 layers and all layers are just on top of it, every player is in the same location at the same time. It’s a faster, more scary and more competitive version of that round. I would say it’s Hex-A Gone 2.0 and I loved that.

We have 1 new survival round with The Swiveller. We have a circular arena, where the ground moves forward and there are obstacles that tries to push you off into the slime. Very hard, very fun. Again, speed and momentum is very important. That might be this season’s theme when you think about it. Speed.

Finally we have 3 hunts. One of them is Bounce Party. We are in a platform with jumping pads. And there are hoops coming in. We are trying to jump from those pads to go through a hoop to get scores. But of course, Friendly Fire is on! You can bump into other Fall Guys. Be careful. Again, very fun and interesting.

The other one is not that interesting but can be still fun. Volleyfall. Yes, I know. Me saying that a sports round is fun? But Volleyfall can be fun if your competition is on the same level with you. Good or bad. It can get pretty tense.

And finally, we have a first in Fall Guys history. Bean Hill Zone is the first round based on a licensed IP. Yes, this is a Sonic level based on Green Hill Zone where there are speeding gates and you need to collect rings. 10/10 masterpiece round. So fun and so thrilling. My only problem is that it seems like this round only appears in a special show like Sweet Thieves? Why? I mean I can understand why Sweet Thieves doesn’t appear in the main round but this? Why doesn’t this appear?

Fall Guys: Free for All Season 1 is fantastic in some aspects, pretty bad in others. But I really think that the new rounds here are incredible. They are some of the best rounds in the history of this game. And I liked the battle pass changes. What I didn’t like is the new currency show-bucks and how they treated Kudos and Crowns. Fall Guys is back on my radar and I am curious if Mediatonic are planning any economy changes. We’ll see, we’ll see. For now, I think this season was pretty pretty good overall.

Extraño que las skins antes me costaban kudos. ):

I truly am glad that more people are able to play Fall Guys starting with this season being free, it's a game that I still love in spite of everything. But man, this season really just turned one of my favorite multiplayer games into a money machine. All new costumes are outrageously priced, and the output of non-paid in-game currencies has been reduced to a trickle. After completing the season pass, aside from the occasional event the only way to actually earn anything substantial is from paying money to Epic Games. It's gross and bad, and sadly not going anywhere.

Idk how but this game just began to become my brainrot for a couple of weeks.

Tried out since it went F2P. Can be pretty entertaining! The challenges vary in quality a bit. I enjoy most of the platforming challenges but don't care much for the "carry the penguin" or "memorize the fruit" ones. It gets a little too random/luck based at times, though that's the same for most battle royale games. Loading screens and elimination animations also slow the experience down to below optimal.

All in all, fun game from moment to moment, but I found myself walking away from matches irritated.

Can't speak to the microtransactions/battlepass, just applied some of the free costumes I unlocked as I leveled up.

Moment to moment gameplay is very fun(Moreso if you have friends). However long loadscreens and not enough variety in gametypes will hurt longevity of this if they don't add content fast enough. Didn't pay for battlepass but cosmetics game semi frequently that I didn't care much.

第一次吃鸡后标记。
✅适合语音联机,输了也不会想摔手柄,重开很轻松。
❎匹配时间很久,尤其是相比单局时间;服务器在第一周故障还是挺多的。重复出现的关卡太多也有些无聊。

There are a bunch of guys and they fall. I think there were also gals, but maybe they were guys in drag since the game it's called "Fall Guys" and not "Fall People", unless it's like an X-Men case where they have female, gender-fluid or non-binary members despite the team's male name.
Why do the Fall? They're competing in a tournament to get crowns. Why do they compete though? Are they forced against their will to compete? is it a long going tradition? or are they adrenaline junkies who can't live without the thrill of falling at high speeds?
So many questions left up to interpretation of the players. It might seem like a cutesy title, but this game is far more deep than your average battle royale.

The only people this update benefits are people who plan to NEVER pay any money at all on the game; which are also probably the people who will play the least since now you barely get anything without paying real money constantly. Any long time fan gets DRASTICALLY less rewards in the long run even with getting the first battle pass free. The item store and way to get rewards feels so unnecessarily greedy now which makes my enjoyment of the game fall drastically. It's still fun to play but it's simply not the same.

Also this change made my boyfriend sad which makes it even worse since I got this game to play with him.
