The dreamcast version is better, but at least you can play this on a pc

los controles me han dado tanto sida

Going off of concept, art style, music, etc it's really cool. But the controls are not for me, they don't feel as tight as I'd like it to be.

Alright, strap on your skates, 'cause we're diving into the funky world of "Jet Set Radio." Now, back in the day, this game was like a breath of fresh air – the funky beats, the colorful graffiti, it was all so damn cool.

But let's be real here, folks. Playing "Jet Set Radio" in 2021 is like dusting off an old mixtape from the '90s – sure, it's got some nostalgia value, but it's also kinda dated.

I mean, don't get me wrong, the gameplay was revolutionary back in the day. Skatin' around Tokyo-to, spray-paintin' walls, and stickin' it to the man? It was like livin' out your wildest rebellious fantasies. But these days, the controls feel about as clunky as a pair of rollerblades with flat tires.

And let's talk about the graphics. Now, I'm all for retro charm, but "Jet Set Radio" is lookin' a little rough around the edges these days. It's like trying to watch your favorite old cartoon on a VHS tape – sure, it's got its charm, but it ain't exactly HD.

But you know what? Despite all its flaws, "Jet Set Radio" still manages to capture that rebellious spirit of youth. The funky soundtrack, the vibrant art style, it's all there, just waitin' to transport you back to a simpler time.

So yeah, while "Jet Set Radio" might be showin' its age these days, it's still worth lacing up those skates and takin' a trip down memory lane. Just don't expect it to hold up as well as it did back in the day.

while janky, it's full of style and artistic visuals! the gameplay can be fun despite being janky, the characters are all very well designed! and the music is GODTIER! holy crap!

If u get good, it becomes so fun

my controller didnt work with this game so whatever

1:59 hours into this game: "These are some of the clunkiest controls put into a video game. No one moves how you'd like, the game flow is constantly interrupted, and it feels like tug of war to move right."

2:00 hours into this game: "holy shit I get it."

I initially thought it was janky and dated, but then things click and it becomes an incredibly precise game of skill.

It was very satisfying to complete, and really absorbs you into its world with it's art style and music.

Worth a play.

Tried playing on the PSVita but really didn't click with me.

Recomendo!

i still listen to everybody jump around basically every single day

Really gud game just mad bcuz of the glitches and the slightly janky controls also a really sick soundtrack from the king Hideki Naganuma

Innovative with a rockin’ soundtrack, but plenty janky also, not to mention some of the levels are more difficult than you remember. Much of the music and smooth gameplay people associate with 2000 JSR was in fact JSRF.

tem muita personalidade, música boa, joginho legal

Vibes that just scream early 2000s with an amazing soundtrack and gameplay that makes you FEEL jet set radiooooo

Character designs in this are better overall than in JSRF, but I've never felt the urge to return to this game, unlike with JSRF.

This has its own great style and personality when it comes to the art style and soundtrack that made it a cult classic to this day and I got curious about playing this game and took the opportunity to play it before it got delisted from the xbox store. That being said, the controls are very janky and clunky as its very easy to lose momentum. Despite that, its very fun to play through and short as there's 3 main maps to go through and a good selection of characters with their own personality. The soundtrack definitely makes the game much more fun and entertaining. I hope to see more of this series with its return coming soon having been announced as it deserves to get brought back into the spotlight.

It's a simple game with some awesome movement and incredibly likeable characters. It's a short little romp, but if you want an entry place for speedrunning or getting cool high scores, it's a great game. It also has one of the best game soundtracks in history, so I truly can't recommend it enough.

To put it simply Jet Set Radio is a amazing game. From the art style to the music and the game play it just oozes with charm. Though at times the game would do something to show some of it's age. The amount of playable characters this game offers is also quite shocking .

To me, Jet Set Radio is like Star Fox 64. A short but sweet game that is easy to pick up, but hard to master, which allows me to replay this treasure over and over again without ever getting bored.

I'm glad I FINALLY got to this game as it's been in my to-play list since I was like 10 years old. Who knew it would be one of my new favorites.

JSR is pretty much Tony Hawk with skates and style. And when I say style I really don't mean that lightly. This is probably one of the first games to really bring the STYLE to videogames that inspired the style you see in Persona and later Sakurai games.

While the artsyle is obviously responsible for bringing the style to the looks of the game, the style is really boosted by it's soundtrack. Probably one of my favorite videogame soundtracks of all time. There is nothing but really catchy sample funk here and ALL the songs are so good. And I can't wait to play the Sequel and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk just to hear the other tracks.

The stages are full of life and soul. Everything feels so detailed and cluttered in this iteration of Tokyo. Everything exudes a certain vibrancy that just invokes a feeling of happiness.

As for the gameplay, rather than chasing score like the Tony Hawk games, there are objectives in each level you need to complete in order to be successful, rather than just pass a score threshold. I prefer this so much more.

The controls are so simple, you will only ever push 2 buttons in this game. Jump and Tag. But the fact that this game has so many mechanics using just these 2 buttons shows how deep it can get. The skill ceiling is high here as you can either sumble your way completing levels just in time, or gracefully grind your way getting the high score while completing objectives.

It really takes a playthrough or two really master this game, but once you do it becomes an addicting itch that you want to revisit over and over again. As mentioned before, only one other game has done this for me which is Star Fox 64.
