Made nearly obsolete by its successor but still a great game in its own right.

(beat village Tigrex, got the credits) Managed to take MH2's new mechanics and threw out all the shitty ones and made it actually playable again by stocking the item shop back up again and making the attack buttons not be the fucking right stick (thank you PSP). Will soon be completely overshadowed by its younger, more complete brother Freedom Unite.

You can't get kitties to hunt with you in this version which lowers the score significantly. Play Freedom United Instead

I tried this game out because I liked MonHun Tri, but this game seemed so sluggish and bad comparatively that I got bored fast and quit

This was my first MH game, and yeah other, newer ones in the series are conventionally better, this one gets the nostalgia points. This is the one that I actually played mostly multiplayer, and I have so many good memories playing with my hunting buddies. Nowadays I still cherish MH and have tons of fun playing every single one, but there is something special about your first experience with this fantastic and unique series
