This is such a video game-y video game and I loved it! Incredible level design and music. It's super fast-paced and infinitely replay able. Really enjoyed speed-running on the first couple of missions but didn't care once I got to the more complicated and harder levels. The worst part is easily the story and garbage writing. It was super cringe and just eventually always fast forwarded the dialogue, but still got the story. But overall though this is a high recommend from me!

yeah the dialogue is ass and you can pretty much skip it until midgame since this is where things get interesting, the gameplay is very fun and addictive though the soundtrack is completely out of this world, gotta be my favorite ost of all time fr

ass shooter, holy shit. no sauce whatsoever man, put this shit in the garbage.

Really good game with horrendous unfunny reddit dialogue, but some of the most fun and addicting gameplay I've ever experienced

learedboard put a mental block on me where i just replay the first stage over and over again until i lost interest

correr e matar bichos rápido

I got this game purely to beat my friend's times and it ended up being such a fun experience. The writing's super cringey but in a way I personally found super enjoyable.

this is the greatest game ever UNTIL you get the rocket launcher/grappling hook. idk how you manage to fuck up a ROCKET LAUNCHER and GRAPPLING HOOK. but whatever. super fun for that first part though. like. insanely nutso fun.

kind of a one trick pony
story is incredibly... nothing. skipped all the cutscenes after the halfway mark as i just found that it wasn't for me at all
moment to moment gameplay is satisfying in a jinglin' keys way. sad to say it doesn't really do anything but jingle keys.

Man when you play this you'll notice right off the bat that its being massively carried by its fun gameplay, cause the moment you even start to listen to this story and dialogue of these characters you'll wish you were playing something else. Yeah its not surprise to anyone that the worst part of this game is the dialogue and story itself. And it really sucks to say that since these designs look amazing and the art of this game looks so good. But yeah, that aside its being carried by its overly fun gameplay, and honestly i'm not that bothered by it. This game is so fun to play that I can ignore the awful writing and can just have a great time getting immersed in the worlds and ost this game brings. This one is indeed a short game if you were to just blaze through it but I think if you spend the time mastering each level and getting the best time you'll more than get your moneys worth.

Es bombisima, me faltan algunos logros largos pero es super bomba el speedruning

I won't lie i totally F >> the whole game

Great game play, awful story to sit through.

Follow my advice and skip all dialogues.
The game is just better this way.

Визуал ВО, геймплей ВО, музыка ВО, игра просто ВО

NEVER make any sort of dialogue again.

Things I liked:

- The gameplay. Smooth and linear and quick to pick up. Card abilities and weapons are super fun and varied, especially the REDACTED card at the end. Good stuff
- The story - it's not bad! Puts some meat on the game's bones, and the voice acting is good, contrary to popular belief
- The treasure hunts. Having to run a level a little slower and solve a platforming-related puzzle, all optional but in service of acquiring the game's good ending, is a nice departure from the main game, a different flavor to cleanse the palate and rest the thumbs a bit

Things I didn't like:

- The gameplay. It's sort of... slow, sluggish, shallow, at times? When you're not actively using a card ability, it doesn't feel great -- like eating your dang vegetables when you want to be stuffing your face with sweet sugary cake the entire time. Also, the levels are entirely linear -- would've been nice to get a few open concepts with numerous viable paths thrown in there
- The story - it's not great! A bit thin for how much time it demands of you (though everything is skippable so it's not a huge deal)
- The treasure hunts. jesus fucking christ some of these gifts were annoying to get. Holy god

Get it? Get how I both like and don't like almost every facet of the game? Pretty clever, I thought.

absolutely one of the most fun games i've ever played. everything feels so good. the music is incredible and puts you in a trance to help you knock out repeated attempts at these levels. this is a game where level design is put front and center to the point where you NOTICE how good it is, because you have to. the game flaunts it - it wants to show you. this window? it's here because the fast way to do this is to not even enter this building but just fall past it, and shoot a rocket through the window to clip the two enemies in here. these enemies? skip them until the very end when a barrel explodes and destroys the platform they're standing on. and everything is so READABLE. even your first time through a level feels fast. you can play so much of the game on reflex, and you glide through the levels shooting enemies and using powers when it feels right, blasting through red barriers and scanning the screen for the next little miniobjective that you are always perfectly equipped to overcome. ultimate flow state game.

also the book of life is i think honestly the best-feeling button press in a videogame. it's so insanely powerful and the levels are still designed to accommodate it. the distances you cover in that chapter are absurd. and the music. thousand pound butterfly is perfect for getting you as wired as possible. i was giggling to myself between stages of that chapter. it's exhilarating.

Crazy how this truly is a masterpiece. Albeit a FLAWED masterpiece. Neon white is so good. My first full run of the game took so long because I legit had to get ace medals in every stage. I would do my best to get a ace on my first try. It legit was so fun to just speed run everything. I mean are we surprised?? Some of my other favorite games of all time are Celeste and Titanfall 2 two of the best movement games if all time. And this is like their bastard child that grew up on adult swim and has diagnosed ADHD which uh is fact just a part of my own personality.

It's so cringe and I live for the cringe:)

dialogue feels like anime but it's okay cuz the gameplay and chars are very cool

satisfying "speedrunner shooter" (term used by the actual game devs) with great character design, visual aesthetic, and a banging soundtrack by machine girl

really fun game that honestly would've been a lot better without the writing and dialogue. the actual gameplay is so good that it makes up for those parts tho.

Interesting card-based take/competitor to ghost runner. Ability usage and combat is entirely innovative and despite looking similar to ghost runner, plays entirely differently. Like comparing hollow knight to dead cells, similar formula but two totally different games.

I don't really have a lot to say about this game. It's very tightly designed with kickass levels that are surprisingly fun to dick around in even if you're not chasing better times. I think the writing, while nothing amazing, is a lot more charming than people give it credit for. And on top of that, the music is alright. It's fitting for the game and really good, but I've seen the sentiment thrown around that it's not music you'd choose to listen to anywhere else, and I'd have to agree with that assessment.
