is vernon what i sound like to other people

I wish this is what therapists actually did

Delightfully creative and wildly funny. Genuinely some of the best humor I've personally found in a video game. Unfortunately, the gameplay itself has aged like milk. The controls are clunky, design decisions are frequently obtuse, and there are multiple areas where the pacing slows to a crawl. I lost interest and was unable to finish, but I gained an immense amount of respect for Schafer's writing. One of the few times where I'll say something would benefit from a modern remake/remaster.

A really fun game with some big gripes like the purple shard hunting in the halfway point and the final boss being pretty underwhelming despite the final stage being really tough. But other than those, I still had a great time with it

Milkman level alone makes this game 11/10, im serious.

Wowzies. Incredible, incredible, incredible game. One of the most creative games I've ever played, Level design is some of the best I've seen in any video game and the platforming is extremely fun. The story is very engaging and the characters are so full of life and all very eccentric. My favorite part of the game is the entire vibe of it. The game is extremely colorful and feels alive but still has this sense of realness to it, and it never feels goofy.

This game is dark sometimes but it’s subtle and usually only told through the vault thingies (except Milla’s room).

This is the type of game they really don't make anymore (they probably do but it's rare). It's just a fun game and I had such a good time playing it. It's also funny as well.

Psychonauts takes the 3D platforming genre and puts an innovating twist. You play as Raz, training to take psychic powers and explore peoples minds in a summer camp setting. Due to a turn of events you have to rescue other trainees. The story is simple yet delivered nicely.
The stages are mostly linear but are so distinct that you will wonder how they came up with such creativity. Raz's move set is somewhat limited, however, over time you gain special abilities that gives variety as much as the level design.
The bosses are great. Forcing you to think of what abilities to use and gives a challenge other than mashing the attack button. But in saying all that, the games does come with some flaws:
- The map or objectives of the game seems a little ambiguous on what to do leading to some slight frustration
- Some key components to obtain is not overly clear and needed to look up. You can blame me but feel it was more upon the game design
- Speaking game design, it does feel messy overall (even the parts I understood on what to do). Not game breaking but doing a playthrough it felt some parts were disjointed.
Overall I really enjoyed the game with its biggest strength being the lore created and level designs to suit. Taking around 12 hours to beat, you will never feel anything overstays it's welcome.

This game is just a documentary of what happens when you get a lobotomy on mushrooms.

Definitely aged but. its still really really good. ok <3

Just a quirky and fun platformer definitely one of the goats.

The psychology theme is excellently applied and developed, making this a superb 3D platformer, SANS the horrible final sections of the game which seem to be designed by a schizophrenic, specially the asylum tower. Also, it sucks that the Xbox version doesn't have widescreen or achievements.

man. sooooo so so creative, wonderfully cartoonish, well written and all around fun but unfortunately suffers from genuinely some of the most tedious and obtuse game design ive ever seen, coupled with some ridiculously jank platforming controls. in a way it feels like it was entirely intended to be that way but god was this hard to push through. fuck.

the cool game is unfortunately brought down by it's JANK platforming. walking on rope, climbing poles, climbing walls, even climbing ladders feels terrible. still such a cool game that holds up today

Motivo de não zerar: Acabou meu gamepass na época e eu não jogueimuito, mas um dia eu vou zerar ou tentar.

It is insane to image this game being release in 2005.

This game is incredible. So much charm, and the creativity doesn't stop right until the very end. Each level felt so unique, with all of the characters being so likeable (or hateable, but in the best of ways!)

The platforming definitely hasn't aged well, but when I'd gotten used to it, it was very satisfying to use all the different psychic abilities to travel around the levels finding all the secrets.

It's very rare a game is as genuinely funny as this. Not only that, but the story was wonderful - I was invested from beginning to end in the colorful cast of characters I met along the way.

The art style and music helped create such a unique atmosphere to every level, and the voice acting had a perfect "Cartoon Network" feel to it that was just what the game needed.

The only criticism is the controls sometimes felt a little janky, and did create a few frustrating moments with some of the more intense platforming sequences. However, this was only a slight blemish on an otherwise perfect game.

The thing about this game is that the story characters and setpieces are basically perfect but there are like 6 parts in the gameplay that make me want to be dead. Still love this game despite that though

Personal advice, don't quote The Milkman near a school, I'm writing this from jail

Great writing and characters but the gameplay is too clunky and frustrating for me to love it like others do.

its a great game for the most part but the meat circus genuinely pissed me off

génial ! j'ai fait que la premiere mission le jeu est trop bien mais je suis perdu bouhouhouhou

very charming platformer, the meat circus aint that hard yall

Psychonauts is lauded for being creative and funny, and it is, but what impressed me the most was all extra hidden detail and dialogues. Replaying this game thoroughly I had no idea how much hidden character interaction this game had that expands on the campers' personalities. You have to go out of your way to find them over the course of the day the game takes place in and I really enjoyed looking for them. The controls don't feel as tight as other games, but all of the psychic powers are unique and fun to use, and the levels in the back half of the game especially are very good.

Ya no hacen juegos así, la vida es dura
