Could've been a really good horror game but oh well.

Forgot to rate this game but I recently played it again through a fan-made Unreal version online and it is still as amazing and terrifying. This is still top-tier horror, my only gripe being that some of the puzzles are insanely difficult to figure out on your own, otherwise easily the best and scariest horror experience you can play.

9.5/10

Finally Played Silent Hills P.T, and I wish we could have gotten the full game. We play as an unknown protagonist who is trapped in a loop inside a haunted home. We slowly learn what happened inside the house through a radio and through puzzles throughout the game.
I love this playable teaser. It would have changed horror gaming if it fully came out but even the playable teaser changed horror gaming itself with many games being inspired by P.T. You should play with headphones and it does get immersive. The gameplay itself is just looping the same area but the area is so cramped it makes you feel claustrophobic. Sometimes you can't loop because you have not interacted with certain things for events to happen. I did get jumpscared because I was not expecting it. The puzzles are vague but if you look around at things closely you'll find them. I did have trouble with one loop where the area turned red and the character started to ruin and I could not progress to the next loop, apparently I was supposed to look through a hole to continue. Overall I love this Playable Teaser wish it could have been something more but it is still amazing as it is and continues to influence/inspire games today.

this game shook me to my core and then dissapeared. i hope you were enough of a lunatic to beat this game while it was up, because the amount of cryptic stuff you need to do to just be able to get to the ending is crazy.

Will forever despise Konami for abandoning this game.

genuinely fucked up this we're never getting this as a full game, thoroughly enjoyed this

It’s crazy how an hour-long teaser for a cancelled game is the single most influential horror game of the past decade.

It had the potential to be one of the best horror experience ever
But fu*k Konami
The demo had amazing ideas, and it's really scary,

thinking about what could've been, genuinely makes me cry

Joguei num port pra Windows e achei excelente

This is fear incarnated. More of an experience than a game, it wouldn't surprise me if it was actually a curse carelessly let loose onto PSN that will eventually be involved in the birth of the Antichrist... somehow.

P.T. was a neat little demo and was a great piece of marketing, but nothing about it really sold me on the idea that Kojima should be involved with Silent Hill. If anything, the amount of 4th wall breaking and the use of big name actors within this demo told me that Kojima probably never touched a Silent Hill game in his life, and it was probably easier for him to use the IP as a jumping off point rather than having to pitch a new IP to the other Konami execs.

Considering what went down not long after this demo was published, a lot of people wanted to believe that this game was this big 5-D play by Kojima, and was some sort of big "Fuck You" to Konami. But let's be real, it was just Kojima dabbling in something new (to him) after being shackled to MGS for a billion years. He brought some of his cool actor/director/art friends onboard so they could make something spooky. Sadly, due to a lot of internal politics and mismanagement at Konami prior to the release of MGSV (some of which Kojima was responsible for himself), things fell through and Silent Hills was one of the casualties.

I've stated it a billion times, but I am not the fondest of Kojima's work, and while I don't think his Silent Hill game would have been all that great as an actual Silent Hill game, I do think he has the ability to make a really unique horror game. Hopefully Overdose turns out alright.

Queria ser do partido comunista de vdd

It saddens me that the content upon which this playable trailer would follow before will not come to fruition as this is one of the rare instances, in my albeit small repertoire of experiences with them, of horror and its core elements being executed in a way that truly deserves a title of 'psychological horror'.

Don't cry because it's over, cry because this is an unceasing barrage of relentless horror that will send you over the edge.

Incredible atmosphere and tension building. Graphically it's still stunning and what we know about the plot is very interesting. The gamelay, although very simple here, works very well for this type of demo. It's a shame Silent Hills got cancelled but it's also incredible to see how much it influenced so many games and inspired games like Layers of Fear and Visage.

this could've been a thing and then god said to us nah i'll take it it's too good to be true
