Let me preface this review by saying the only thing that detracted from my experience of this where "The Stick of Truth" did not was the simple fact that I like high fantasy more than superhero storytelling.
Aside from that, this felt like a perfect evolution of the game from its predecessor. Combat was far more strategic and having an ever-expanding hoard of abilities to switch between at any time really helped create a unique experience for each of the two playthroughs I went through to get all achievements (though Blaster/Plantmancer became my overpowered build).
The story once again felt like a multi-part South Park episode, up to the very abrupt ending reminiscent of the older episodes of the show. It succeeds in mimicking/mocking modern Marvel films in an increasingly convoluted plot in a way we've come to expect from South Park's writers.
If I had to make one light complaint about the game, it's that the game becomes heavily reliant on your companion's exploration abilities. While they are all pretty funny, having to repeat their specific button commands so often made me wish it was just a matter of summoning the right buddy and watching the outcome unfold. They were, however, short enough to warrant a mild annoyance at most, and didn't detract heavily from the overall experience.
Definitely play "The Stick of Truth" before tackling this one. Not only does the first game's plot play a part in this sequel's story, but it will also get you warmed up for this particularly fun style of turn-based RPG.

Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole probably have got to be the best Licensed Games and Adaptations ever, at least in the top 10. I never really watched South Park like that, just saw some episodes sometimes, but yeah these games are just so explicitly what it is.
The gameplay in this one is pretty fun and making the build you think fucks everything up is dope. It drags a little bit towards the end cause I played this shit for almost 27 hours in 4 days (including DLC), but its not too bad and the ending rules.
Also the bit about picking what gender you are actually kind of touching to me, and the Craig/Tweak being gay, idk that shit rules genuinely.

South park the fractured but whole, just like the stick of truth, nails turn based combat and south park humour alike, creating an exceptionally fun and in-depth playthrough in a story that truly feels like an episode of south park.

The game is several times weaker than the stick of truth, but plot-wise everything remains on the same level. I really disliked the ever-repetitive abilities and annoying mini-games.

really funny with enjoyable combat
Had so much fun with this game, been meaning to play it for years after the previous one. Great combat, a ridiculous typical South Park story, and lots of fun. Sometimes it's nice to play a game that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Compared to the first game this one is much better, I had a lot of fun playing it and I recommend this game

While I somewhat prefer that battle system of Stick of Truth, Fractured Butthole is still a damn good game and an improvement over its predecessor. It's crazy that a franchise like South Park can spawn such a high quality experience.

south park is ok but they are so good at making games. its one of the most fun and interesting rpgs i've ever played. it somehow makes me think of my moves every combat encounter, you actually need to strategize and think before fighting and it really makes for a good time.
