Es genial lo adoro es el Mario perfecto

sin duda el mejor juego de Mario tiene algo que lo hace hermoso ya sea sus controles, jugabilidad, niveles etc

The vibes in this game are immaculate. Unfortunately the level design does leave a bit to be desired, especially with the asset reuse by the end of the game. Despite this, it still manages to be very fun and memorable.

this review is entirely based on nostalgia

Collected 121 Power Stars with both Mario and Luigi. This game is not only my favorite Mario game, but my favorite game period, and I could gush about it forever. I will return for another 100% playthrough, this time using the Super Mario 3D All-Stars version without motion controls, around the same time I choose to replay its sequel.

An awesome 3D Mario game for sure, but I didn't like that the worlds (mostly) seemed smaller than levels of previous games. Excellent soundtrack though!

Mom said i can do anything I put my mind to so im gonna breathe in space just like mario

my first and so far favorite mario game :)

This game is good but just play Galaxy 2. it's a no brainer that 2 is better.

This was the Mario game that made me fall in love with Mario games, as well as the first one I actually committed to play from start to finish, with no bullshit.

● I love the concept
● I love the setting
● I love the ambience
● I love Rosalina and her backstory
● I love the Comet Observatory
● I love how cinematic it is
● I love the Bowser fights
● I love how it looks
● I absolutely adore the soundtrack

This was the perfect game for me to really be introduced to the Mario series, it is very beginner friendly and easy to understand for a child. With all of that said.......................................................................I don't like this game very much.

It's funny, because this used to be my favorite Mario game by a long shot like it seems to be the case with everybody else. But the more I replay this game, the more I fall out of love with it.

I appreciate that this game tries to be more newcomer friendly with its level design and by giving Mario what is essentially a double jump with the spin, which also works as a second way to attack enemies. But for some reason, they also decided that in order to make platforming easier and Mario's movement more manageable, they needed to slow Mario down to an INSUFFERABLE degree.

Doing absolutely ANYTHING in this game DESTROYS your momentum. Jumping slows you down, spinning slows you down, USING POWER UPS REALLY SLOWS YOU DOWN. Almost EVERY SINGLE ONE of the power ups in this game makes Mario super slow and boring to fucking control!!! I already did not like they way they handled power ups in previous 3D Mario games, but this is just the absolute worst instance of this problem!

It's not just Mario tho, everything in this game takes way too long. Everytime you select a level or get a star you have to pretty much sit and watch cutscenes that can last up to like 7 - 10 seconds or so, which on their own it's not bad...But when you have to watch these EVERYTIME you do these things, it really adds up!

This not only makes the game a chore to play, but it doesn't make me want to replay it anytime soon, let alone play the same shit again with Luigi but now all slippery. I am not a massive fan of Mario 64 like a lot of people either, it isn't even close to being one of my favorite 3D Marios...But at least I do like to revisit that one a lot more often than a lot of other 3D Mario games, just because of how short and fast it can be! Especially compared to the Galaxy games.

I have other issues, like the red star power up being by far the best power up in the game, but being completely wasted and exclusively being used in one optional mission and the fucking HUB WORLD, instead of actually letting me fly in the actual levels...................................But, I think I've said enough :)))

It still is an amazing game and all of what I said I loved about the game is still pretty much true (The soundtrack truly is simply breathtaking). But after playing so many platformers and other 3D Mario games, I just don't want to keep coming back to this one...It keeps breaking my heart every single time.

Replaying this and realizing it has slow and limiting movement feels like a loved one has perished

Actually the greatest 3D platformer ever made.
First time Nintendo used an orchestra and hit the ball out of the park.
Masterful art direction with a blend of realism and cartoon-esque visuals.
Some of the tightest and snappiest controls I've ever used in a game to this day.
Some of the most interesting and varied levels and mechanics, each galaxy feels unique with it's own spin on the formula and it's own power-ups and inhabitants.
One of the greatest plot-lines in a mainline Mario game.
Some of the greatest cinematography in all of gaming.
The only issue with this game is that it may make you motion sick.

I have replayed this game 20+ times and it has never gotten boring.

Still the best game in the Mario series imo

besides super mario 64 ds, this was my first ever 3d mario and what a fun introduction to the world of 3D mario! i love space! wahoo

Super Mario Galaxy is the greatest game ever made. Mario controls beautifully and the platforming is all built on his movement, which allows you to just move around elegantly through the level, even the water levels are good. The gravity mechanic is easily the best mechanic in any platformer, it makes the movement so fluid so seamless, and the spin move makes the platforming so satisfying as it helps you adjust a mistake and gives you a boost that allows you to come up with ways to jump longer or higher and its just so satisfying when it comes in clutch to make that shortcut. The design of the galaxies were hand crafted by god, each planet already has the best level design but gives it that charm. All of the galaxies are filled with life and got so much personality but some of my favorites are Good egg Galaxy, Honeyhive Galaxy, Bowser's star reactor, Bowser's galaxy reactor, Gusty Garden Galaxy, Freezeflame Galaxy, Toy Time Galaxy, Battlerock Galaxy, and Beach Bowl Galaxy. The music, oh my god the music is so majestic, it is the greatest OST in gaming history, every galaxy has tracks that just add to its charm. Gusty Garden Galaxy is the best song in gaming, nothing will ever come close, but its not to shine out other galaxies such as Good Egg Galaxy, Beach Bowl Galaxy, Ghostly Galaxy, Space Junk Galaxy, Melty Molten Galaxy and many more. The Comet Observatory is the best hub in any game with such a majestic song. Now, this game can get very emotional as its the most dramatic a Mario game has gotten, the first cutscene is so cinematic and it makes Bowser the most menacing he has ever been. The fist cutscene where bowser takes the castle is so dramatic and cinematic that it instantly makes this journey feel much more important. It also installs wonder in the player as they traverse the game and the final scene where you storm Bowser's Galaxy Reactor and the level being a combination of every mechanic makes it truly feel so epic. Another emotion this game makes you feel is sadness with Rosalina's Storybook. The music that plays as you read the story paired with the emotional story never fails to make me cry. No words can explain it, you truly need to experience it. Some may have issues with the motion control but i like the manta ray and star ball mission. The manta ray is so fast paced and the music is so catchy, and the star ball is so anxiety inducing as you try to maneuver the ball to the end goal without falling, and the music adds to it as it slows down or speeds up depending on how you move. Super Mario Galaxy is simply the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. 100/100 you need to play this masterpiece

I hate Nintendo, but at the same time, this got some of the best game scenarios in gaming. AND THE OST

My favorite game of all time. From start to finish, a game that I enjoyed and never wanted to put down. to me, it's the only game I say is perfect. From the amazing score and atmosphere of space, this is Nintendo at its peak.

muito legal esse jogo, quero jogar o 2

Rosalina es el mejor personaje de la franquicia

The aura is impeccable and somehow manages to give a Mario game proper emotional moments without feeling forced. Introduces an ingenius level design gimmick, too.

my god this game is REALLY GOOD, such a comfortable game to play. music is amazing, gameplay is really good! bossfights while easy are still pretty fun, rosalina as a character is very cool, and bowser is an actual threat! PLEASE play it!

A masterpiece. Gameplay, atmosphere, and soundtrack weave a beautiful game that bounces from one beat to the next seamlessly.

I must admit that I was completely reluctant to use the Wii Remote. I also confess that attaching a Wii sensor to a 42-inch LG OLED screen with tape (yes, screens are now too thin to simply place the sensor on the screen) in 2024 is a unique and anachronistic experience. After finishing the game, I find that the Wii Remote actually encourages multitasking: moving Mario with one hand and grabbing stars with the other. The experience is truly unique, and I wonder how this game will be preserved in the future outside of its original support. I imagine the Switch version uses the second stick to mimic the Wii Remote aiming. The experience must inevitably be frustrating and awkward.

Massive crush. I've rarely been so engrossed in a 3D platformer. After my unsuccessful attempts with Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine, I am completely convinced by the controls. Big shout out to the developers responsible for the camera movements. Such mastery is truly impressive, especially in a game that defies gravity so much. Even if it comes at the expense of open worlds (and thus a more linear game), I much prefer scripted and refined camera movements like those in Mario Galaxy. I never felt the need to reorient the camera.

I think everything has already been said about Galaxy. I remain overall speechless at the creativity of the levels; the game always seems to renew itself without ever falling into repetition. Just majestic.
