After 100+ hours and beating Delirium with several different characters, I'd say I have this game pretty well beaten. Really, I had it beaten quite a while ago, but more runs to unlock more stuff with new characters is just so addicting!

Not gonna say too much. It's Binding of Isaac. It's a fucking fantastic rogue-lite, perhaps the best out there. The Switch port is absolutely fantastically done. The game looks beautiful, runs perfectly, and all of the new content that the '+' entails add that much more to mess around with!

Verdict: Highly Recommended. As stated before, it's Binding of Isaac. If you like rogue-lites, chances are you've already played it a long time ago. If you do like rogue-lites and haven't played it yet and have a PC or a Switch, then I cannot recommend picking up this enough.

Unlike Repentance Afterbirth didn't add that much good to the game.

Repentance>

I have a love hate relationship with this game. After 500+ hours, it's mostly a hate relationship. I did 100% it, and I will commend it that it's the best rogue-lite out there. I've played many, and nothing compares to how truly unique every run of this game will be.

As far as roguelikes go, they don't get better, deeper or more profoundly sick than this one. "Dead babies in the afterlife fighting their way through heaven and hell" sounds like the setup for a bad joke, but this game mines it both for the bad-taste scatological humor AND the profound sadness and horror endemic to the setup. Almost infinitely replayable.

Doesn't get much harder than this probably

El mejor roguelike del mercado, miles de combinaciones con sinergias únicas, no hay dos partidas de tboi que sean idénticas, desafiante y al mismo tiempo fácil de aprender, historia sencilla pero increíble con personajes remarcables

thank god repentance exists now

wish it wasnt banned o xbox in aus

... Afterbirth but with a plus, which in my mind is a minus, because...

Kinda shitty dlc sorry glad repentance exists now

Sad Boi Hours have gotten harder

delirum is absolute bullshit and so is the void i dont need to say anything else

Its issac. very good... but dont play this version, play repentance it fixes so much and is just a way better version of the game overall

Introduced me to rogue-likes, love to do a run from time to time

Entertaining time sink that makes you want to play it over and over again even tho you keep losing hours of your life with no progress.. Perfect for listening to podcasts.

One of my favorite games of all time and a rogue like like none other. It is pretty hard to explain just how insane this game can get without seeing it for yourself so I'll just leave it at this - this game has infinite hours of content to unlock, explore and master. Tons of bosses, item combinations, routes, endings, characters, unlockables; the list goes on and on. Extremely difficult especially when trying to unlock certain characters or items. I have not played Repentance but Afterbirth+ is a very solid expansion to an already great game. If you're a fan of rogue likes, classic Zelda style dungeon crawling or a combination of the two definitely check this game out.

Despite me playing this game on the worst platforms of all time (Mac) this game has still managed to be really fun for me.

Really hope I can play repentance tho, since I heard that's the objectively superior version of this game

This DLC is so anti-fun that I'm nearly certain it was made as a giant fuck you to the Isaac player base. It's like if the design philosophy that went into making the supremely unfun Hush boss fight was applied to the entire game.

I see why this game is praised. Really bizarre rogue like in terms of aesthetic. Gross, dark but with a sense of humor surprisingly. The comboz/synergies feel endless which is good as the gameplay is pretty simple.

Good expansion, but if we will compare all DLCs, this is the worst one.

New boss, Delirium is not a fun boss, his movement is tragic, however his zone is cool. Also Greedier mode, so harder version of Greed mode was also not the best addition.

This DLC is lower than the others for Rebirth because Delirium is unironically one of the most dogshit bosses ever put in a video game and Greedier mode took a really fun mode and made it awful to play.

NOTE: This is a review of the DLC, NOT the game as a whole. I love Isaac Rebirth, see my review on it if you're curious as to why.
Afterbirth Plus is easily the worst DLC of them all. It barely adds anything at all and what's here is incredibly mediocre. Let's start with it's major additions.
The Void SUCKS. Not only is the entire floor big as all hell, it's really, REALLY easy. Imagine Basement 1, but they give you Tech X, Brimstone, and Polyphemus on the first floor, and you have The Void. You just steamroll everything in your path. Sure, you could somewhat say that about the main game, but that was much rarer to achieve. And don't even get me started on the glitchy nightmare that is Delirium. He's so glitchy and can telefrag you whenever he wants to. He's also way too damn fast. He's a fun fight, but he can be pretty annoying at times.
Greedier Mode is just harder Greed Mode. Not much else to say.
There are 2 new characters. Forgotten is fun, but Apollyon, while also fun, is way too similar to Isaac. You void bad items, just like you'd D6 bad items.
100 new items, which is fine. But there's a lot of items that are almost entirely worthless. Unique, but not good enough for another major DLC.
The 5 new challenges are AWFUL. The only one that's decent here is Pokeymans; the rest are terrible. Backasswards is just RNG, April's Fool isn't fun, Pong is pretty much just slow roll, and Ultra Hard is the worst challenge in the entire game.
Overall, AB+ just wasn't a good DLC. It's too miniscule in content, and the new stuff isn't all that great. Buy it for Repentance and nothing else.
