The second game of the series, still going strong! Kind of shitty start of the game not in a bad way more of a sad way but Clementine is a survivor! Even more good side characters but KENNY coming back?! Oh it was something. Still had those moments where I was stressing and I had a love hate relationship with the other girl that clementine was almost friends with (had to KILL her off) overall still a good game
Ok. First of all what the fuck was that zombie doing under there. WAS HE JUST HAVING A SWIM? Can they swim?? But none of that would have even HAPPENED, if BONNIE WASN’T THE BABOON BRAINED GLUE SUCKING DIRT EATING NEANDERTHAL THAT SHE IS. Oh ya let’s just DOUBLE THE WIEGHT ON THE ICE. And then she has the NERVE to live if her dumbass falls in! LOCK. IN. The audacity to kill the only good new character, one of three good characters in this whole game, in such an absolutely loony tunes ass way right before the finally is genuinely insane.

Split down the middle is how I feel here. It has equal pros and cons. The shift to Clementine in this game is really well done, and it's a great time in the story to focus on her. This is the game where you feel the most sorry for her, and also where she goes through the most traumatic moments. I also like how the action is designed around her size and her age. Youre usually running away or trying to find clever solutions to problems rather than brute forcing them. This creates more interesting scenarios and setpieces overall.
The voice acting is way better this time around. And once again Gavin Hammon is a knockout performance.
This story is just so sloppy though and has so many stupid moments. Basically every character except Clementine is a total Buffon. You end up hating half the cast because they are so incompetent and unable to fend for themselves. Subplots and storylines are introduced and dropped so quickly that it's hard to get invested in them. And the way the characters treat one of the characters at the end of the series is just a joke. He is so unlikeable and so in the wrong yet these morons just refuse to see that. It dosent feel organic like you can understand their reasoning, it feels like they turned their brains off. The action is more creative in its setups, but in practice they weren't as fun or intense to sit through.
If you know about the history and development of this title you know that there is a LOT of cut content. So much so that the poster for episode 4 showed something that never even made it into the game. It explains why a lot of the game is poorly told: it's a stitched together mess that needed more time to be finished.
I have a small soft spot for this game because there are many moments I like. But it's not enough to save the stupidity on display.

The Walking Dead: Season Two is emotional gut-punch after emotional gut-punch. Playing as Clementine, a little girl forced to grow up in a zombie apocalypse, just breaks your heart. The decisions feel even heavier than in the first season, and there are some truly haunting moments. The gameplay's kinda clunky, and a few characters are annoying, but if you're ready for a story-driven experience that hits hard, this is a must-play.
