Valiant Hearts: The Great War isn't your typical war game. It's a heartfelt story about ordinary people caught up in the chaos of World War I. You follow a group of characters from different countries, all connected in surprising ways. The art style is beautiful, and the puzzles are clever without being frustrating. It can be a bit slow at times, and the ending might leave you wanting more, but overall, it's a moving experience that reminds you of the human cost of war.

Great game with a beautiful story while teaching us the horrors of the war. Very different war game in every aspect, this one relies on puzzle solving and narrative driven rather than advancing and shooting, it is a nice change of pace for war games. Superb art direction using very desaturated tones with few contrasts to help highlight certain elements of the game and setting a dark/sad atmosphere while having soothing/hope feeling from the characters.
Great story and beautiful art style that can depict the horrors of war well, when it isn't being comedic or at times overly comedic. Final level is one of the best designed I've seen and a perfect example of having a likely ingrained response from playing a lot of video games.

Uma história muito emocionante sobre vidas que se cruzam na tragédia horrível que foi a primeira guerra. Funciona pois é sobre pessoas comuns, tentando sobreviver e ajudar do jeito que for possível.
Os gráficos são lindos e o tom cartunesco ajuda a amenizar um pouco uma história que do contrário, seria difícil demais de assistir, de tantas coisas terríveis acontecendo ao redor.
A parte de trazer dados históricos é muito interessante também. Devo ter aprendido mais jogando isso do que em qualquer aula de história que eu já tive.

For me, this is the most soulful game from Ubisoft. This game tells a fascinating story with sadness and joy and a passion for history. I recommend spending 5-8 hours completing this masterpiece, it’s a shame that the second part is not available on Steam

Jogos de guerra sempre nos colocam no papel de fodão e mandando bala e facada em todo mundo que aparece na nossa frente, a realidade e a profundidade que esse jogo retrata a primeira guerra mundial do ponto de vista de pessoas comuns me deixou fascinado, a Ubisoft vacila em muita coisa nos seus jogos mas quando ela resolve acertar meu amigo, sai umas pérolas desse "calibre"

Lembro de jogar quando criança no xbox 360 e ficar dias sem conseguir jogar outra coisa. Pelo que me lembro não tinha disponibilidade em português, o que me fez não entender muito do contexto histórico, mas isso só reforça como a ambientação, música e atmosfera do jogo são extremamente imersivos e repassam exatamente o sentimento da cena, absolute cinema

Terminei esse jogo com algumas lágrimas e um choro forte preso na garganta e acho que era para doer mesmo. Mostrar como a guerra é dolorosa. Mergulhei de cabeça nessa aventura de um jeito que nem eu imaginei, quando vi já estava quase entrando na televisão para fazer carinho no cachorro.

Just remembered I played this before. Cute but depressing little experience. Not many games cover World War I, unfortunately, and the ones that do are usually shooters, so seeing a game cover it differently is refreshing. I'd definitely give it a try if you like puzzles and history.
More of this please, Ubisoft? I know a sequel was made, but I think Ubisoft actually makes good stuff when they experiment like this.

Um jogo simples e repetitivo em suas mecânicas mas que acerta em retratar uma temática muito utilizada de uma forma diferente: Um jogo de puzzles no contexto da primeira grande guerra. Vejo como um jogo que apesar de tratar de temas delicados, pode ser recomendado pra quase qualquer um, visto que através de suas fases e mecânicas ensina de forma divertida sobre o contexto tão conturbado que retrata.

Ninguém dá muita bola pra Primeira Guerra e só por isso Valiant Hearts já me pegou, quando saiu. Não dá pra dizer que o jogo é feio ou desinteressante, que não tem puzzles legais, mas progredir me deu uma preguiça sem tamanho.
