Probably one of the worst wrestling games I have ever played. I could not even enjoy this game for an hour.

- Every player entrance is almost similar and boring. Everyone of them just kicks out of a box then does some lazy hand movements.
- Every player of same class performs same basic moves. The only unique moves a character has are a signature move and a finisher move.
- Commentary does not even make any sense.
- Campaign is boring and the characters are randomly generated, 2k does not let you create them. So, only thing that is playable are single player exhibition matches.
- Almost all the characters are locked behind a paywall.
- Anything except 1 vs. 1 feels like a mess in this game ans the arena is too small.
- Character Creation does not offer much.
- 10 year old WWE all stars feels better than this fresh pile of garbage.

I found nothing in this game good nor fun. I bought this for around 2USD and it still feels like I have wasted on this as it looks like a lazy cashgrab to me. Just stick to your Smackdown Here Comes the Pain or Smackdown vs Raw 06/07 or WWE 13/14. I would suggest keeping your money away from any 2k crap.

This would be perfectly serviceable PS2 fodder if not for one of the most vehemently ugly gaming art styles in recent memory and a 'campaign' with bland progression that becomes flat-out unplayable in the last couple sections. I mean seriously take one gameplay video of this and tell me what the hell I'm even looking at. Not sure why this needed to exist considering they gave up on quality of life support for it in like a nanosecond anyway. Also tons of stupid .png cutscenes. Can confidently call this distracting.

This has to be one of the worst wrestling games ever. The only positives I can say are the controls are simple, and the combat is easy to pick up and play. During matches, you can get access to power-ups like health buffs, freeze your opponent, damage buffs, etc. Some of the environments are pretty cool like a chop shop, swamp and subway. It goes downhill from there. Every wrestler has the same move-set. Only difference is maybe one move and a finisher. Graphically, it's worse than WWE All-STARS, which looked way better. Severe lack of match types and glaring omissions (no Triple Threat or Fatal 4 Way Cage, no Ladder, no Elimination style modifier). No Create-a-Move-set. Create-a-Superstar/Woman is super bare bones, even more limited than WWF War Zone. Campaign mode is decent, with a comic book style story presentation. Too bad the difficulty ramps up to the extreme near the end and trades fun and skill for frustrating cheap tactics. There are a ton of playable characters including a lot that were added via post launch updates, but they are all so expensive with stingy in-game currency payouts that make it a boring grind. Not like it would be worth unlocking AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, John Cena or anyone since they all play 99.9% identical to each other. Worse? Game would even crash and slow to a crawl at single digit frames in multi-man matches.

I gotta say when I first saw this announced, I did not expect much from it. I treated this really harshly but I will be honest when I say: I actually consider this to be a decent game.

The gameplay's a lotta fun. Lot of chaos in the matches and the graphics are excellent. The matches they got are really cool especially the Cage match which for some reason give me good old CZW vibes for some reason so thats cool.

Only downside? Microtransactions. And the gameplay can get a little tedious and repetitive at times.

Overall, pretty good. It might just keep me going till 2K22. lol.

The wrestling game genre has been dry for quite some time. Since the Smackdown Vs Raw (and eventually 2K) series took over, you basically got your singular WWE game a year. Occasionally you might get a title from another promotion. Which were always bare bones/half-assed entries that never a saw a sequel. (TNA, AAA, AEW?) Once in a blue moon you'd get an alternate, simpler WWE game like Legends of Wrestlemania (meh), WWE All-Stars (hey pretty good!), almost WWE Brawl (RIP) and this is another one of those.

It's not the simulation style that's been present since the mid 2000s. It's wacky, characters slap each other with fire hands, cages are electrified, there's environmental changes in arenas. The movesets are simplified. You fight based on whichever style you picked. If you're a wrestling fan I don't think you're gonna get much of the gameplay with how similar people play.

There's a little bit of variety in match types, you get your Rumbles, King of the Rings etc. The story mode is kinda funny. It's told through unvoiced comic panels. These aren't that nice to look at it but you can get a chuckle out of the absurdity of them.

Maybe the biggest issue with this game is the amount of locked items. Tons and tons of people are locked. Almost every person in the game has 2 to 4 outfits. Great!...Except they're all locked. It's designed for you to either grind or pay so you can get Bret Hart in a slightly different singlet. The same goes for Create-a-Character. Bunch of locked shit. It's a mess.

This isn't the worst wrestling game I've ever played, I'm not going that far but there's not much here with the redundant gameplay and overwhelming amount of locked content.
