Theres not much I can say about this game that hasn't already been said thousands of times. An continued evolution of an incredible grappling system developed by AKI, featuring some of the industries biggest stars at the hottest the business has ever been. Wrestlemania 2000 is a near perfect wrestling game. Having the most robust character creation system I've seen in a wrestling game the only things that this game leaves you wanting more in are the match types and season mode.

Played the shit out of this game. 50 man royal rumble pin fall elimination only followed by 3 hours of raw was bliss.
It's a blast to play even to this day. The blocky N64 graphics are really charming here. The gameplay is super tight balancing arcade fun with some of the realism of the sport. The character roster is really good and the creative wrestler function while not as robust as the PS1 games and later titles is nice. You can customize the regulars wrestlers too. Doesn't matter the most important thing is the game is just so fun to play with a large amount of modes and match types. The core gameplay just hasn't been beat.

So many people talk up/reference No Mercy, as if they've never even heard of this game. And while No Mercy is certainly good, arguably a SLIGHT upgrade over this graphically, etc., in my opinion, having played/owned both, WM 2000 is the better game. To my memory the career mode was just more interesting/fun to play, and I put a TON of time into this game, creating made up characters, trying my best to add existing wrestlers into the game, etc.
The N64 was the first console I ever bought myself, with money from my first real summer job, and while I sadly didn't have it for TOO long (teenage idiocy), for the year and a half/two years that I DID have my original N64, this was one of my most played games on it, by far.

This game really did have infinite customization options, which is really cool, but there were some other issues with the gameplay and with the editing process.
I pressed reset on my N64 and saw a bunch of corrupted models and it scared the crap out of my 5 year old self.
