Now this game scratches a good itch for me...

It has a really interesting gameplay mechanic: you can manually type in and ask any question you want to each patient. It's a little limiting and sometimes specific, but I found this to be a really enganging and fun system to mess around with. I had noted down things on my phone that I wanted to ask them, it felt really interactive and player dependent. They weren't necessary for completion, but I still liked it. And if you don't like the system the game has scripted and selectable questions anyways. So the option for more is there. And asking questions yourself gives you waaaaay more avenues to explore and clues to acquire.

It gets better still: the killer is randomized whenever you begin a new game. So no two people will likely have the same experience and you must make the observations yourself. I happened to get it right on my first try but there were many valid candidates.

I like how all the patients have something crazy and supernatural going on that could be a result of their own deteriorating psychosis. It keeps you invested and asking questions.

It's not perfect: a lot of the dialouge and acting is super campy. That one middle aged British woman is oozing cheese out of her pores. She is so hammy and cartoonish. Even if she's NOT the killer she acts that way.

Also, the actress who played Jaya is very pretty.

4 stars.
