I quite liked this one, but it's certainly not without its faults. I was extremely happy to see large open spaces, and mostly fluid transition scenes, as opposed to a myriad of small connected rooms. The action felt great, and the extra power afforded this game via the PS4 made for fantastic visuals and spell effects. The game is probably one of the easiest in the series. The "Disney Ride" attacks did a great job of taking any seriousness and chucking it out the window, and didn't feel like they fit in with the rest of the game. The story in this one also isn't that great, what with being a) all over the place, and b) going to Akira Toriyama levels of "lol don't worry, nobody really dies". Had a good time with this one, but there were more enjoyable ones earlier in the franchise.

Really comfy, short-but-sweet platformer that scratched an itch I didn't know I had. Just short enough to not outstay its welcome, but long enough to leave a mark.

Completely forgot about this game whoa, the only thing I remember is there being poop, like actual piles of shit, for some reason. I think I quit the game cuz my digimons kept turning into poop? I was like 9 years old lol

I was aware that SuperChargers was divisive going into it, journalists loved it but fans of the series hated it so it was often a battleground for heated discussion. In the end though, I just came away feeling... absolutely no strong feeling about this game. The only point I can really articulate fully is that it's definitely my least favourite so far.

Vehicles are difficult to control and their sections are boring to sit through, overal feeling more like a shark jump than a well fleshed out mechanic. Sure, the story is better than most, but that's not really saying much. The nicest things I have to say are that the book level was very visually interesting, and Bowser + DK are some of the most fun and inspired characters in the entire series, but otherwise I can't really force myself to say anything else about this game. For a series that I often find critical consensus was a little too harsh on, the middling rating this game gets when the bickering is said and done is entirely accurate. It's pretty drab and was a warning sign of the market crash just around the corner. Not really much more, but certainly much less.

This game needs to be studied at universities on how it's able to keep all four players constantly engaged while also breaking lifelong friendships.

this game's actually pretty legit ngl, i wanna get around to finishing it sometime

Alan wake II is a weird, wild and wonderful survival horror game that elevates the concepts of the first game to whole new levels. Whether you're solving mind-bending puzzles as the titular writer or piecing together a mystery as FBI agent Saga, there is always a compelling narrative thread driving you forward.

The visuals are absolutely stunning, alongside highly detailed character models and realistic animations that culminate in one of the best looking games I've ever played. The way that light interacts with the environments and plays on your mind as you shift between realities was particularly awe-inspiring.

Combat is much better this time around but I do think the balance between narrative sections and action sequences is not struck as well as it could have been, particularly in the first half and toward the end. It is also fairly challenging at times, with some portions of the game where ammunition felt scarce enough to keep you on edge.

I absolutely loved the pulpy neo-noir vibe of the story and world, brought to life by the exceptional character performances.

We all knew that Remedy were one of the most talented developers operating today, but Alan Wake II solidifies their place as one of the all-time greats through perhaps their best game yet.

It's not a bad game by itself, but I didn't really like it. It was the worst game out of the trilogy. Vito story just isn't that interesting.

[Strictly speaking about the 100% experience]

Not as fun as the main game. While a lot of tokens are well designed, others leave a little to be desired. Some collectables are a little too cryptic to feel completely fair at times too. If you really, really love this game then the 100% is worth it, otherwise just finish the maingame as there's not much of a reason to nab everything aside from pride.

Scam of the decade.

A complete waste of time, nothing to gain from it, not even a little bit of pleasure.
Night City is a dead city, nothing aesthetically interesting, nothing interesting to do there. The gamefeel of the shooting isn't good and calling it a RPG is a joke.

this latest playthrough was just me beating each shadow mario stage and fighting the final boss bc i did it all in one stream and yup this is still the best mario game no contest hands down i dont wanna hear shit

Not a bad game, but needing to grind so much to level a new pokemon makes it a chore to play. Also Kanto is very barebones and it would have been better if it wasn't in the game at all. Dropped it at 16 badges, can't be assed to prepare for Red

Decidedly the most competent of the Burger King Trilogy, Pocket Bike Racer is a generic, good enough Kart Racer. This will never come close to something like Mario Kart but racing as the bizarre characters in this game is funny enough to grant it some staying power.

Don't talk to me or my hyperfixation fruit game in that tone of voice
