I really love this game. The cast, the setting, the music... Everything about it has something to love. Even the voice acting in both JP and ENG is enjoyable.

People may rag on the gameplay, and the fact you can't control your teammates actions, but I actually quite enjoy it! The game was built around this, so once you figure out how the AI functions, you can very easily get it to do what you want to without much effort at all. And when they don't do what you want..? Well, it spices things up a little bit, don't you think? haha

The story is amazing and heartwrenching. You play as a boy who lost his parents at a young age, and has seemingly lost the will to live... But through the bonds you form throughout the story, he grows and learns how to love again.

The characters are complex and unique. I adore every one of them, and it feels genuinely rewarding to get to know them. Honestly, my only wish is that like in future installments, you had the option to choose NOT to date the girls... it makes 100%ing the game a liiiitttle bit awkward when you have to cheat on all of them lol

Absolutely a fantastic game otherwise, and one of my all-time favourites.

I was really excited for this game when it was announced! Too bad it failed at nearly every turn. Honestly the game isnt even That Bad, it's just horribly Mediocre. Like... I'm kind of amazed at just how bare-bones it is. The only thing that really gives this piece of garbage any sort of life is the environments, which is fairly pretty, but are also mostly uninspired rehashes of zones from previous games

The writing is the worst thing I've ever seen in a sonic game. I don't understand what the writers were thinking when making this crap because its the most shallow, thoughtless, and contradictory piece of garbage. Can we please talk about Tails?? I know it's been mentioned 1000 times over but my god, what did they do to you??

I still stand by that just removing the avatar character and replacing him with Tails would've improved things by like 50% at least.

Also just get rid of Classic Sonic please I'm so tired of this half-assed "classic" style gameplay that is always the most horrible slog to get through. If you wanna make a 2D sonic game, make a 2D sonic game. Stop trying to mash the 2D and 3D styles together, it just ends up leaving both of them feel unpolished and horrible to play.

I know I said this game wasnt "That Bad" but like... man it makes me angry.
